1 1 As a membership organization, Changamoto LPF i s formed by four main organs: 1. The General Assembly The Genera l Assembly is th e suprem e orga n an d responsibl e fo r policy formulatio n and making key decisions. All member s of the organization sit annually in the genera l assembly for policy approval and electing members of the Executive committee. 2. The Executive committee The Executiv e Committee i s comprise d of th e chairperso n of th e organization, th e secretary an d si x othe r member s wh o ar e electe d b y th e Genera l Assembly. Th e committee member s ar e electe d ever y thre e year s an d hol d regula r meeting s t o analyze an d approv e policies, plan s an d budgets. Th e committe e als o supervise s management an d monito r performanc e o f th e Chie f Executiv e Officer (CEO). Th e executive committee ha s authorize d th e formatio n of loan approval committee in an attempt to minimize risk of extending credit to an individual officer. 3. The Board of Trustees The Boar d of Trustees i s constituted of eight member s electe d fro m th e societ y an d willing t o joi n membership. I t i s thi s Boar d tha t ha s th e mandat e t o approv e th e budget fo r th e purchas e an d disposa l o f th e organizatio n properties, deliberatin g Audited account s an d guidin g on proper utilizatio n of NGO propertie s an d meetin g financial obligation s including deliberating and approving financial reports. 4. Management The managemen t wit h th e responsibilit y to executin g policies on day t o da y basis i s headed b y th e CE O appointed b y th e Executiv e committee unde r whic h ar e thre e sections - th e credi t section, the financ e an d administrativ e section and th e researc h and developmen t section. Besides the administrativ e and financia l section, the othe r two ar e no t functionin g ye t bu t hav e bee n structure d t o accommodat e longe r ter m plans and expansion.
