8 Principles of project financing Projects for single applicants and large consortia Time from application to project start may vary from 1-2 months up to 1 year or more Project durations from 6 to 48 months Some programmes provide pre-financing, in others all costs have to be paid first before payments from the programme Eligible costs may include personnel, sub-contracting, equipment, investments, travel costs etc., big differences between programmes Reporting periods typically 6, 12 or 18 months, big variations in the levels of details asked for and accounting principles applied
