1 REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS Position: 3D Graphics Design, NeighbourPLAN Location: Flexible, with meetings in Peterborough Responses Due: Monday, December 17, 2018 at 5:00pm INTRODUCTION Overview & Background The NeighbourPLAN program seeks to engage residents in the process of reimagining and shaping public spaces in their neighbourhoods. This program uses creative and responsive mechanisms to engage residents who have traditionally been excluded from formal planning processes. Using lessoned learned during the pilot, the NeighborPLAN program will directly support people as they develop the tools, confidence, relationships, and language necessary to influence the spaces and services that matter to them. The NeighbourhPLAN program has been underway in the Jackson Park Brookdale neighbourhood since the fall of Through working with neighbourhood residents, students from Highland Heights Public School, project partners and city staff, a portrait of the neighbourhood has been created and many design and visioning workshops have been held. Entering into Phase 3 of the program in the Jackson Park Brookdale neighbourhood, NeighbourPLAN will support residents to advance their ideas, through the creation of a Vision document. For more information, and to read about progress to date, visit: Position Summary The consultant will: develop 3D photographic renderings of possible design solutions for two or more of the priority sites in the Jackson Park Brookdale neighbourhood. The renderings will add value to the Vision document, to better demonstrate what the possible design solutions could look like

2 SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES Scope of Project This position will begin in December 2018 and will end in February Objectives The objective is to develop clear and visually appealing 3D photographic renderings of possible design solutions for two or more of the priority sites in the Jackson Park Brookdale neighbourhood. CONTRACT PROCESS Selection Criteria The consultant will have the following qualifications: Demonstrated ability in material design Experience working with non-profit partners and alongside diverse crosssectoral partners and stakeholders - 2 -

3 Schedule Selection announced Wednesday December 19, 2018 First meeting to occur Week of January 7, 2018 (succeeding Holidays) Contract to be complete Friday February 8, 2018 (4 weeks) 6.0 BUDGET and PAYMENT 6.1 Budget Allocations The budget for this project should not exceed $2,000 inclusive of all taxes and expenses. Expenses including mileage will not be covered, unless agreed upon in advance. 6.2 Payment Schedule Payment can be made as 50% at start of contract and 50% upon the completion of the contract. Invoices should be made out to Peterborough Green-Up Association (reference: NeighbourPLAN). 7.0 PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS Please include in the evaluation proposal: 1. Short introduction and proposal (1 to 2 pages total), with the following sections outlined: a. Briefly indicate qualifications and experience, as well as a summary of your approach (including key processes and considerations). This does not need to be lengthy. b. Indicate any suggested changes to the activities, deliverables or timelines. We have some flexibility on timelines. c. Indicate estimated budget (amounting to no more than $2,000 in total) for each of the activities outlined in the RFP (this does not need to include estimates per deliverable)
