6 History E s t MISSO was founded in 1982 by a consortium of faculty including Dr. Michael Parks and students involved with the Management Information Systems department at the University of Houston. Over the past 35 years, MISSO has been an integral part of Houston s Information Technology community, and our alumni are often seen leading the workforce in executive positions in the greater Houston area.

18 Point Information W h y : Promote active participation and involvement of members MISSO vows to only use points as rewards and not penalties A student is not required to receive any points to be considered a member *Members need at least 60 points to be eligible to vote during officer elections **The top two point earners at the end of the semester will receive scholarships H o w : At each MISSO event, we will be able to record your attendance when you swipe in with your Cougar Card or sign-in with your PeolpleSoft number. Out database will automatically calculate your overall points W h e r e : and display it on our Master Points sheet. Master Point Book will update on the MISSO website every Sunday at 11:59 pm!
