2 ADDITIONAL CHARGES Tuition fees, together with government grants, go to cover the majority of the school s costs for salaries, equipment, debt servicing and maintenance. Additional charges are required to meet the cost of some materials provided to students, such as individual resource packs in the primary school, subject levies in the senior school, and some general charges for teaching resources. A copy of the compulsory & elective subject levies for 2015 is attached (pages 2,3 & 4) PRIMARY SCHOOL General Resources: including, but not limited to photocopying, classroom consumable items, Modern Greek Texts, stationary, diaries etc Technology Levy: cover contributions towards additional annual licences & leasing, purchase of additional hardware, maintain updated software, maintenance of the School wireless and fixed facilities as well as Mathletics subscription. Sports: covers the cost of: 1. Sporting equipment, as well as hire costs for external venues, transportation etc. 2. K-Yr 2 levy includes 6 weeks of swimming lessons (transportation and instruction). K Yr 6 Excursion Levy covers all incursions and excursions within the Sydney Metropolitan Area. Monies will not be refunded as all excursions are prepaid and based on enrolments in determining final cost. Primary Camps & Canberra & Bathurst Trips for Yr 4 Yr 6: charged on the first Family Invoice / Statement of the year. 5 OPTIONS FOR PAYMENT OF FEES Whilst the school fees & levies are invoiced annually, the School allows families to choose a payment plan that best suits the family budget. To make payment more manageable, we allow families to choose between the following payment options: Annually On or before the 1 st day of year with a 5% discount on Tution fees only. Per Term Due on the 1 st day of each term.(4 Terms) Yr 11 & Yr 12 over 3 terms. (3 Terms) Monthly /Fortnightly Divide the full fees & levies by 9 payments. ( Feb-Oct) or 18 payments ( F/N) If your choice of payment is by the Term you must make payment in the 1 st week of each Term to avoid a late fee of $77.00 If your choice of payment is by the Month (Feb to Oct) you must make payment every month to avoid a late fee of $77.00 Payment is welcomed by: Payment by BPay is preferred. Payment is welcomed by Credit Card or Eftpos at the School s Offices (or by phone) Personal Cheque, Bank Cheque, Money Order AMEX cards will attract a 1% surcharge. LATE PAYMENT FEE To enable the School to meet its commitments, you must meet your commitments in a timely manner. The School provides instalment options (annual, term and monthly) in order to make the payment of fees as manageable as possible for all families. However, this will require the written approval of the School. Any account not paid by the due date will attract a late payment fee of $77. A late payment fee of $77 will continue to be applied each month, while the account remains outstanding. PLEASE NOTE that in 2016 the following procedure will be observed by the School. A student whose fees have not been paid by the end of any term may not be allowed to commence a new term until the account is settled, or an alternative written agreement is entered into with the School. Please pay all fees as due, for the Board may enforce the payment terms as outlined above unless other written arrangements have been made. WITHDRAWAL POLICY PLEASE NOTE : WITHDRAWAL OF A STUDENT FROM THE SCHOOL REQUIRES ONE (1)TERMS NOTICE TO BE GIVEN IN WRITING TO THE HEAD OF SCHOOL. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN ONE TERM S TUITION FEES BEING INVOICED TO YOUR FAMILY ACCOUNT. TAX DEDUCTIBLE FUND The school adds a voluntary amount of $70 per term for the Building Fund on the Annual & Term Statements with an option and request for parents to contribute. A Tax-deductible receipt will be issued. 5
