TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR UOB VISA INFINITE / UOB PRIVILEGE BANKING CARD 3 AIR MILES ON OVERSEAS DINING AND RETAIL SPEND PROMOTION JUN JUL 2017 ( PROMOTION ) Definitions Cardmembers means all principal cardholders of the UOB Visa Infinite or the UOB Privilege Banking Card (individually a Card, and collectively the Cards ) which is issued by United Overseas Bank Limited ( UOB ) in Singapore, whose Card account is in good standing, satisfactorily conducted (as determined by UOB in its discretion) and is not voluntarily or involuntarily cancelled, terminated, closed or suspended at any time. Calendar Month refers to (i) 12 June 2017 to 30 June 2017; and (ii) 1 July 2017 to 31 July 2017. Eligible Cardmember means a principal Cardmember who fulfils the following conditions: i. has successfully registered himself/herself, within the Promotion Period, to participate in the Promotion via Electronic Short Message Service ( SMS ), by keying in miles3<space>nric Number ("SMS Registration") and sending it to 77862 from his/her last known registered mobile number with UOB during the Promotion Period; and ii. has an Eligible Transaction charged to his / her Card(s) during the Promotion Period. Eligible Transaction refers to a transaction made overseas in a foreign currency on dining and retail with the merchant codes as set out in the table at Schedule A of these Terms and Conditions, and which is charged to a Cardmember s Card and successfully captured/posted on the Cardmember s Card account during the Promotion Period, but excludes the transactions set out at Schedule B of these Terms and Conditions. UOB reserves the right to amend the list of excluded transactions above in its sole discretion and without any prior notice or giving any reasons. Promotion Period means 12 June 2017 to 31 July 2017 (both dates inclusive). Reward refers to the award of UNI$7.50 for every S$5 on Eligible Transactions during the Promotion Period (equivalent to 3 air miles per S$1.00). Promotion 1. The award of the UNI$7.5 for every S$5 spent on Eligible Transactions is applicable to the first S$10,000 spent on Eligible Transactions for each Calendar Month and is calculated based on: i. the existing earn rate of UNI$3 for every S$5 spent on Eligible Transactions for each Calendar Month, m ii. the existing additional UNI$2 for every S$5 spent on Eligible Transactions for each Calendar Month. (Terms and conditions as listed in uob.com.sg/vi-lux2017 and uob.com.sg/pv-lux2017), and iii. additional UNI$2.5 for every S$5 spent on Eligible Transactions for each calendar month, where the award of the additional UNI$2.5 for every S$5 spent is capped at UNI$5,000 for each Eligible Cardmember for each Calendar Month, after which, the existing earn rate of UNI$3 for every S$5 spent on Eligible Transactions applies. 2. For the purpose of calculating the Reward applicable to Eligible Transactions, the amount of foreign currency charged in an Eligible Transaction will be converted to Singapore Dollars based on UOB s prevailing foreign exchange rates as at the date the Eligible Transaction was captured / posted in UOB s system. For the 1
avoidance of doubt, any transaction made overseas but charged in Singapore dollars will not be considered an Eligible Transaction. 3. Eligible Cardmembers can choose to convert their UNI$ into air miles at the conversion rate of UNI$1 = 2 air miles. 4. The date of the Eligible Transactions for every Calendar Month will be determined based the date the transaction was successfully posted to the Cardmember s Card account, as reflected on the Cardmember s statement. 5. In the event the UNI$ awarded is in decimal points, the final UNI$ awarded for each transaction will be rounded down to the nearest whole figure. 6. The additional UNI$2.5 for every S$5 spent on Eligible Transactions is awarded on a one-time, lump sum basis and is limited to a cap of UNI$5,000 per Calendar Month, i.e. a total of UNI$10,000 for the entire Promotion Period, per Eligible Cardmember card account. The additional UNI$ will be credited to the Eligible Cardmember s card account two (2) months after the end of the Promotion Period, i.e. no later than 30 September 2017, or such other date that UOB may decide on from time to time. 7. No advance crediting of UNI$ will be entertained. 8. In the event that: i. there are any errors or mistakes in the calculation or crediting of the UNI$; ii. if any Cardmember is subsequently discovered to be ineligible, not entitled or disqualified to participate in the Promotion; iii. that there are credit balances in the Cardmember's Card account arising out of (but not limited to) the failure of the card transaction, returned goods or services under that transaction, billings disputes, or iv. any other situation that UOB deems fit, UOB is entitled at its sole and absolute discretion, and at any time without liability or prior notice, to amend, correct or adjust the calculation of the UNI$; to suspend, revoke, or forfeit the crediting of UNI$ (or any part thereof); or where it has been credited to reclaim the UNI$ (or any part thereof) without any liability on the part of UOB. UOB shall not be liable for any payment or compensation (whether in cash, credit or kind) arising from the above. SMS Registration 9. The Cardmember will receive a confirmation SMS from the Bank once he/she successfully completes the SMS Registration. 10. All registrations in respect of this the Promotion must be done via SMS by the Cardmember with his/her last known registered mobile number with UOB. Only SMSes received by UOB will be considered for the Promotion. Any incomplete or inaccurate SMS registration will not be considered and consequently be disqualified. For the avoidance of doubt, each Eligible Cardmember is only allowed to register once to participate in the Promotion irrespective of the number of Cards that he/she may have. 11. SMS registration starts from 0000 hours on 11 June 2017 and ends on 2359 hours on 31 July 2017 (Singapore time). SMS entries received by the Bank before 0000 hours on 11 June 2017 and after 2359 hours on 31 July 2017 will not be eligible for the Promotion and will be considered invalid and void. 2
12. Sending and receiving SMS is dependent on a SMS vendor, an independent telecommunication authority or service provider or such other third party which is engaged by UOB for the Promotion and UOB shall not be responsible for any undelivered, lost or delayed SMS sent and/or received by the Cardmembers. The Cardmembers shall pay and be solely responsible for all fees and charges imposed by such service providers for the sending and/or receipt of any SMS in connection with this the Promotion. 13. The SMS vendor, independent telecommunication authorities or service provider or such other third party is a third party and is independent and beyond the control of UOB. UOB shall not be responsible in any manner whatsoever for the delay in the transmission or receipt of any SMS. General 14. UOB shall not be responsible or liable:- i. for any losses, damages or otherwise suffered by any person if it is unable to perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions, due directly or indirectly to the failure of the merchant establishments, merchant acquirer, telecommunication authorities or service provider or such other third party which maybe engaged for the Promotion, any machine or communication or computer system, industrial dispute, war, Act of God, or anything outside the control of UOB. ii. for any failure or delay in the transmission or receipt of evidence of sale transactions by Visa, merchant establishments, merchant acquirer, postal or telecommunication authorities/provider or any other parties which may result in a transaction made by the Cardmember being omitted from being posted to the Cardmember s Eligible Card account and/or captured in UOB s system during the Promotion Period; iii. for any notice or communication, SMS which gets lost, misplaced, defaced, tampered with, stolen, damaged or misdirected or which the Cardmember does not receive; iv. for any breakdown or malfunction in any computer system or equipment; or v. for any costs, losses, damages, claims, expenses and/or injuries of any Cardmember or any other person howsoever incurred or suffered. 15. In the event that the Cardmember's Card account is delinquent, voluntarily or involuntarily closed or terminated or suspended for any reasons whatsoever before the UNI$ are awarded into such card account, such UNI$ earned shall be forfeited and the Cardmember shall not be entitled to any compensation or payment whatsoever. 16. Notwithstanding anything in these Terms and Conditions, UOB reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion and at any time and without giving prior notice or any reason, to vary, amend, add or delete any of the Terms and Conditions herein without assuming any liability to any person, and the Cardmembers shall be bound by these amendments. 17. UOB's decision on all matters relating to the Promotion shall be final, conclusive and binding on the Cardmember. 18. UOB shall not be obliged to give any reason or enter into any correspondence with the Cardmember or any persons on any matter concerning the Promotion. 3

All information is correct at the time of publishing and UOB makes no representation or warranty whether express or implied, and accepts no responsibility or liability for its completeness or accuracy. 20. These Terms and Conditions are supplemental to the prevailing terms and conditions under the UOB Cardmember Agreement and UOB Rewards Programme ( Standard Terms ). Cardmembers are deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions when they participate in the Promotion. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and the Standard Terms, the Terms and Conditions shall prevail to the extent of such inconsistency. 21. These Terms and Conditions herein shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore and the Cardmembers hereby agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore. 22. A person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions herein and/or any agreement governed by the terms and conditions herein shall have no rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce any term of such agreement or any of the Terms and Conditions herein.
