March 10, 2017 The proposed Community Consolidated School District 59 (CCSD 59) Administration/Professional Development building will house the Administrative and Maintenance staff, providing for the administrative and maintenance functions of the School District. The adjacent existing building belonging to CCSD 59 will provide for the food service functions of the School District. This food service building is connected to the west end of the existing park district building. The Administrative building will contain approximately 40,000 square feet of space, occupying a footprint of approximately 30,000 square feet, and is situated on the southwestern corner of the property. The food service building houses approximately 4,350 square feet. The Administration building is anticipated to house approximately 80 full and part-time employees, along with a potential of approximately 80 additional staff members for professional development purposes on an interim basis. Hours of operation will be 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Professional development occurs during the week, with staff arriving and leaving at various times during the course of the day, and on various days of the week. Additional staff and visitors may occupy the building for School Board meetings. The meetings are held two nights per month, typically the second and fourth Monday of each month, approximately 6:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. Based on the operation and needs of the School District, additional evening meetings may take place. Parking for 150 staff and visitors is proposed. A maintenance yard is surrounded by a masonry screen wall to match the architecture of the building. The yard will house maintenance vehicles and materials, and will also manage deliveries to both the Administrative Building, as well as the food service building. The Food Service Building will handle the food service needs of the entire district, and is anticipated to house approximately 12 full-time employees. Estimated hours of operation will be 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Deliveries of bulk food items are expected twice weekly as early as 5:00 a.m. Food will be prepared and delivered to each of the District s school buildings daily at approximately 10:00 a.m., in vendor owned and operated box trucks, returning at approximately 3:00 p.m. Facilities and Operations Department 2123 S.
