COMPANY SICK PAY REHABWORKS We will support you when you re ill, and offer you appropriate help during your illness and return to work. If you re off sick, we pay up to six months full pay, followed by up to six months half pay, depending on your circumstances. For full details, see our Employee Handbook. All employees can access our RehabWorks service free of charge. RehabWorks provides specialist advice, diagnosis and treatment from Chartered Physiotherapists, to help you recover quickly from musculoskeletal disorders such as problems with your neck, back, upper and lower limbs. To access this service, speak to your line manager who can refer you for assessment and treatment. 8
EYECARE DISCOUNTED MEDICALS If you regularly use a computer or display screen as part of your job, we will cover the cost of your eye test. If your eye test shows that you need glasses for this type of work, we will contribute 55 towards the cost of your glasses, or 75 towards bifocals and more complex prescriptions. Details of how to request an eye test voucher, and how to make a claim, can be found in Tap Into. You and your partner can receive a discount of 20% on a health assessment with Nuffield Health. It offers a range of tests which will give you a clear understanding of your current state of health, as well as the opportunity to discuss any concerns with experienced health professionals. More details are in Tap Into. 9
CYCLE2WORK Our Cycle2Work scheme, in partnership with Halfords, could be just what you need if you d like a new bike to get fit, have a greener journey to work, or save money on your commute. Full details can be found in Tap Into. 10
PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE If you re involved in an accident, whether it s inside or outside of work, you re covered under our personal accident insurance scheme. Any payment is at the discretion of the insurer and varies depending on the severity of your injuries. For full details, see our Employee Handbook. HEALTHCARE AND BACK TO HEALTH Some of our employees (who were members as of 1 July 2005, or who are personal contract holders), are members of our Healthcare Trust scheme, with different levels of cover. Family members can be added at additional cost, following a lifestyle event. If you are not a member of our healthcare scheme, you are covered by our Back to Health plan. EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAMME (EAP) If you need quick access to face to face or telephone counselling, you can use this service in complete confidence. The EAP is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, where you can speak to trained professionals who will provide you with the support and guidance you need to deal with a range of everyday challenges such as relationship issues, financial concerns, legal queries, consumer issues, family care/ health, bereavement, insurance claims and housing queries. Family members living at your address can also use this service. For full details on the scheme, please see our EAP section in the Health and Wellbeing area of Livelink. DENTAL PLAN To help you spread the cost of dental treatment, we have partnered with Denplan, a dental health insurance company. If you re interested in joining this plan, you need to register via Tap Into. Full details of how to apply, plan benefits and any exclusions and limitations can be found within in the policy handbook, which will be sent out to you after you register your interest. More details on the Denplan scheme can be found in Tap Into. 13

ANNUAL LEAVE Your annual leave entitlement, and how this increases over time, is outlined in your contract of employment. If you work part-time, your annual leave, Bank Holidays and special Christmas leave will be calculated on a pro-rata basis. For full details, please see our Employee Handbook. BUYING AND SELLING ANNUAL LEAVE Each year you can choose to buy up to five additional days annual leave, or sell up to three days. If you choose to buy more leave, you will save on tax and National Insurance as you are sacrificing part of your gross salary. You can sell annual leave three times a year (February, September and the following February). More details are available in Tap Into. 16

CHILDCARE LONG SERVICE AWARDS We offer a flexible voucher scheme to make childcare more affordable for our people. For more details on the scheme, and how to join, take a look at Tap Into. SALARY SACRIFICE CAR SCHEME Our salary sacrifice car scheme allows you to exchange part of your gross pay for a new, insured, and fully maintained car for up to three years. The scheme is ideal if you d like a new car and prefer to change it every few years, as it provides peace of mind. All major costs are covered, including servicing, maintenance, replacement tyres, insurance, resignation protection, road tax and breakdown cover. SALARY SACRIFICE PHONE SCHEME Our salary sacrifice phone scheme gives you access to the latest phone models and tariffs over a 24 month period, with no upfront costs. SMART WATER As an NWG employee, you can take part in Smart Water. This is a salary sacrifice arrangement, which means you exchange part of your salary for water and/or sewerage services for your main residence. COMPANY PENSION SCHEME PRE-RETIREMENT WORKSHOPS We automatically enrol all new employees into our Defined Contribution pension scheme. You can make contributions of up to 5% of your salary each month, and we will also make a contribution of up to 8%. The Defined Benefit scheme is closed to new entrants. Members of the Defined Contribution scheme should contact Fidelity on 08457 234 235 or pensions.services@fil.com with any queries. Retirement is a major lifestyle change so we are here to help you prepare for this transition. We provide pre-retirement workshops in all three of our operating areas for anyone who is considering retirement, or to help you prepare for this life change. NWG WORKPLACE ISA GROUP INCOME PROTECTION Our Workplace ISA, provided by Fidelity, is a tax-efficient way to save. If you re a member of our Defined Contribution pension scheme, you re covered by our group income protection. This is insurance, designed to provide you with an income for a period of time if you re absent from work for 52 weeks due to ill-health. LIFE ASSURANCE CHRISTMAS SAVINGS CLUB We provide a life assurance scheme for all of our people. This pays four times your annual salary to your nominated recipient in the event of death in service. Further details are available from our Benefits team on 34374. To help you save towards Christmas, we have set up a Christmas Savings Club. You choose how much you want to save each month, between 10 and 250 and this is deducted from your net pay. We invest this money into a bank account that has been set up specifically for the Christmas Savings Club, and it is paid out in November, with your share of the interest, just in time for your Christmas shopping! 33

COMPUTER LOAN QUALIFICATION LOAN If you re looking to buy a new PC, laptop or tablet, we can give you an interest-free computer loan of up to 750.
