Tickets for Pete s game are a bit cheaper Do we want to burden the school community? Council to look at Pete s schedule Fundraising plan is necessary A lot of forms come home for various activities Would like to get down to a one-page form Kathie Sawyer: Kathie, pizza lunch days, pizza hut is not guaranteed peanut free Dominos is peanut free teacher parent brought it up Faiza to look into Subway; perhaps they could give letter of compliance. New business for next meeting

3.2 Treasurer s Report (including Budget Committee Report) Budget committee met on Wednesday October 18 Agreed upon new budget $1200 allocated for pediculosis checks, but will probably be closer to $1400 due to increase enrollment; see budget above. A lot of things off budget, now covered by school Roberts rules re protocol for meetings was discussed; no consensus at this point. Mandy to talk to Trish about Pita line item The $269 was HST rebate for Pita; this will be put into general school council funds. Pretty healthy in terms in budget No need for major fundraising Tina - Pizza Hut is more of a service than fundraiser; most people agreed Amy - kids like dance-a-thon Could be a charity oriented type thing

Mandy - still have dance-a-thon maybe cover DJ no or minimal charge Potential to use money to reduce charge for trips No requests for major expenses Kathie - dance-a-thon set a precedent has been a great success, lots of things to put money towards Charlotte - some money to school some to charity Jesica - for this year it should be a go Parents understand that there are costs trips, smart boards Amy - possibly ask teachers what they need e.g. jerseys, Glen taking care of Kathie to take back to teachers Glen taking care of new sports jerseys; however, it would be positive for council to contribute to. February 9 is the proposed date Need sponsors too, so best to start earlier Character council sold items as well last year Money could be just for school repairs and improvements in general Special Event committee should meet in December (update - will be at 6:00pm on January 10) Doodle poll app good for picking dates 6.0 Adjournment Motion to adjourn: Lisa Second: Mandy All in favour-adjourned Next School Council Meeting Wednesday January 10, 2018 at 6:30pm in the Library
