P R O G R A M M E OBJECTIVE Fundamental analysis is the cornerstone of investing. A sound investment decision involves performing fundamental analysis. Having a basic knowledge of fundamental analysis will give potential investor a better foundation for investment decisions but the subject is so broad it's tough to know how and where to start. A 2-day programme has been designed on fundamental analysis to help the participants understand core elements in Fundamental Analysis and understand why and how they should use it when investing. The programme provides a guideline on where to start when doing fundamental analysis. It covers the following aspects: I. What is fundamental analysis and why use it? ii. iii. iv. Understanding and analysing the financial statements and extract relevant information for arriving at an investment decision. Factors to be sought for arriving at a fair valuation of a stock Understanding critical fundamental ratios: PE, PB. EV/EBIDTA, Growth - Historical and Forecasted v. Discover investable stocks by comparing stocks within the sector using multiple ratios. vi. Analysing historical and forecasted growth using forecasted EPS. vii. Understanding how the global and domestic events impact a stock (or) Sector. viii. Importance of portfolio diversification for minimizing risk and the need for rebalancing portfolio. ix. How to use of technical signals like trend patterns, moving averages and oscillators to enter into the stock. x. Practical examples from the industry will be discussed so that an overall confidence on the stock selection can be built. 1

Mr. Venugopal Rajamanuri has over 33 years of experience in Banking, Insurance and Financial Services sector which includes over 12 years of teaching and training experience. His experience spreads over commercial and investment banking, life and general insurance and corporate finance, financial planning, Mutual funds, and stock& Derivatives investing.
