9 Project Milestones FEMA issues final BFE determination to CEO by letter and publishes in Federal Register (Letter of Final Determination) FEMA submits final FIS Report and Maps to printing The community is given SIX MONTHS to enact required Ordinances FIRM/FIS becomes effective 6 months from issuance of Letter of Final Determination If community does not adopt by effective date, they will be suspended from the NFIP Pre-New Effective Map Assessment & Planning meeting with GA DNR
