AIFMD The Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) was passed by the European Parliament in July 2013 with the aim to enhance the transparency and level of disclosure of all institutional funds that were previously outside of the scope of EU financial regulation. These funds include, but are not limited to private equity, infrastructure, private debt and real estate funds. As a Private Equity, Infrastructure, Real Estate and Debt specialist, Alter Domus was involved in working groups to shape the implementation of the Directive. We have also worked closely with our clients to understand their challenges and opportunities under the Directive. This close collaboration with the industry and Regulators has allowed Alter Domus to assist its clients throughout the Directive s implementation and beyond. As a third party AIFM, we assist our clients during the set-up or transfer of their investment funds, designing investment structures and strategies adapted to a broad scope of investments and investors.
