2 The Taxpayer Burger & Booze Bar 1 As the name suggests, The Taxpayer Burger & Booze Bar is all about burgers and booze. The Taxpayer is extremely proud to showcase some of South Australia s finest produce and aims to provide you with the best gourmet burger experience. The Taxpayer is a great venue for your next function or event and has developed a fantastic new package for the coming seasons. We will deliver unrivaled function food and an extensive boutique beverage list to cater for all tastes. We specialize in events and can comfortably accommodate for groups of 25 to 120 guests. Our professional and friendly staff will ensure a seamless experience for you and your guests. The Taxpayer is conveniently located in the heart of the CBD, adjacent to Victoria Square. It has spectacular views of the square from its outdoor area in the north west corner which is fully licensed. We know that finding the right venue can be a challenge but with our professional, passionate and friendly approach combined with our exceptional food and beverage offerings and venue facilities, you ll know you ve made the right decision in making The Taxpayer Burger & Booze Bar your venue of choice. The quality of the burgers offered was top notch, I don t think I have ever had a better burger. I think we may have a new king in town, the standard by which to judge all other venues. 3 2 Venue hire & minimum spend At The Taxpayer we offer you the opportunity to have the venue exclusively for your event. We have a combined capacity of 120 patrons inside and out. For exclusive use,a minimum spend applies. Thank you all for an Amazing Night! It was fantastic! Sydney 21st Birthday Monday - Thursday Minimum spend, $1000 Friday Minimum spend, $5000 Saturday Minimum spend, $2000 (case by case basis) Minimum spend is required to keep the venue open between the hours of midnight and 2am. These are subject to negotiations before the event. Due to licensing requirements Security must be present between the hours of 10pm and 2am. Security will be charged at $50 per hour. Venue hire includes use of our in house audio-visual equipment, including our television, projector screen and extensive music selection. Alternatively you can supply your own playlists on either an ipod, mobile phone, or laptop. You can provide your own DJ or we can supply a DJ for $50 per hour. DJ equipment hire is required, cost to be advised. We have disco balls and coloured lights available for hire, at the set cost of $100 for the duration of the event. 5 4 Location & getting here The Taxpayer is situated right in the heart of Adelaide opposite Victoria Square, between Franklin St and Grote St just off King William Rd. Car parking is available on both Franklin St and Grote St as well as the adjoining Pitt St. Public Transport is also available with bus stops U1 and U2 and the Victoria Square tram stop all conveniently located directly out front. Taxis can be located out front of the Hilton Hotel just past Grote St, or called to pull up in the taxi lane directly out the front of the venue. The humble cheeseburger from The Taxpayer was definitely one of the not so humble Taxpayer, is the best burger experiences I ve had possibly the most memorable in Australia! burger of the year. 6 5 Terms & Conditions CONFIRMATION Confirmation of a function must be made within 48 hours of the original reservation. All tentative bookings will only be held for a maximum of 2 weeks. Payment of venue hire or the deposit of a negotiated amount along with completion of Terms & Conditions is required to confirm all tentative bookings. Failure to provide the venue hire payment or deposit and signed copy of the terms and conditions within this 2 weeks may result in the cancellation of the booking without notice. Please note that our food and beverage menu is subject to change. Personal cheques are not accepted. Business cheques may be accepted if negotiated with management. Itemised invoices are available by prior arrangement with staff. The balance of any account will be charged to the credit card details provided. [This includes any unused minimum spend] Cash, Visa and MasterCard Credit Card payments only accepted. This functions brochure is valid from the 1st of July 2016 until the 31st of Dec FINAL NUMBERS & TIMES Final numbers are required 1 week prior to the event along with arrival times and food service times. COMPLIANCE The organiser will conduct the occasion in accordance to Taxpayer Burger and Booze Bar policy and all other laws. Management reserves the right to exclude or eject any objectionable persons from The Taxpayer Burger and Booze Bar without liability. MINORS The Taxpayer Burger and Booze Bar is bound by liquor licensing laws, which require all patrons under the age of 18 [Minors] to leave the premises prior to 9pm. At no stage are minors permitted to consume alcohol. CANCELLATION In case of cancellation, the venue hire is not refundable under any circumstance. If a function is cancelled before two months of the date then no other fees are payable. If a function is cancelled less than two months before the date then a 25% fee is payable. This fee is based on the estimated amount on the function sheet. If a function is cancelled less than one month before the date then a 50% fee is payable. This fee is based on the estimated amount on the function sheet. CLEANING & DAMAGES Any excessive cleaning or damage to assets or building will be charged to your credit card if it is deemed necessary. SECURITY Security is deemed necessary for certain occasions & will be charged accordingly. The preferred security company used by The Taxpayer Burger and Booze Bar is the only security company to be used in such circumstances. Security presence as required for our licence is one between 10pm and 3am. The Taxpayer Burger and Booze Bar security is required to patrol all venue areas and surrounds. All 18th and 21st Birthday parties are required to have one security guard for the entire duration of the function. This will be charged at the rate of $50 per hour. EQUIPMENT Organisers are financially responsible for any damage/ breakages sustained to The Taxpayer Burger and Booze Bar by the organiser, organiser s guests, invitees or others attending the function. The Taxpayer Burger and Booze Bar will not accept any responsibility for the damage or loss of merchandise left prior to or after the function.
