3 Introduction Airline revenue accounting departments and revenue accounting systems require access to comprehensive tax data to correctly calculate itinerary tax values for interline settlement and for remittance to the governments. ATPCO has developed its tax solutions to supply the industry with official tax rates to support needs from pricing through ticketing to settlement. ATPCO is now the single-source provider for tax data, carrier-specified amounts (CSAs), and carrier exceptions. In 2016, ATPCO and IATA created two new tax-related products, RATD and Tax Summary. RATD is a comprehensive and automated monthly snapshot of all interlineable taxes that provides the carrier with access to the taxes to be used for monthly settlement. The Tax Summary, formerly the Ticket Tax Box Service (TTBS), now allows the carriers an online display of current and historical taxes, fees, and charges for up to two calendar years. Operated by 3 14 December 2016
4 RATD RATD is a monthly snapshot of all interlineable taxes that includes IATA s RATD tax data file, ATPCOcollected carrier exceptions, and CSA data. The file includes a history of previous month s taxes for three calendar years and notes changes that have taken place during the month. The format of the monthly subscription file is aligned to ATPCO s current tax subscription product, and the data is also available in an online view in FareManager. To access the RATD online display, open the ATPCO FareManager Home page and click the RATD/Tax Summary link. If your organization is authorized to access both RATD and Tax Summary, the RATD tab will open by default. Figure 1 Search Criteria RATD offers different types of search criteria.
