Advising a client who is a 50% shareholder in a well established family business and with the assistance of accountants constructing a solution enabling the business to continue and flourish, ensuring that both shareholders protected their interests, benefited from the growth in the business and were able to provide well for their family. Acting in a case where the parties were both marrying for the second time and were anxious to agree a fair Pre- Nuptial Agreement, which protected them but did not damage their relationship; advising one of the parties, ensuring that the other received independent advice and guiding the negotiations to a satisfactory conclusion, and a happy wedding. Advising a mother seeking to take her three children to move to a new home in Toronto with her Canadian second husband; by negotiation and in part through the Courts, finally gaining consent from the children s father and agreeing arrangements for future contact.
