6 Government cooperation between Norway and Japan May 24, 2011 (Oslo) Memorandum on cooperation in the field of Maritime Technology and Industry was signed between Ms. Rikke Lind (State Secretary for MTI) and Mr. Seiichi OHKUCHI (Vice-Minister for International Affairs, MLIT). <Scope of Cooperation> Offshore wind power The Arctic LNG fuel ship Ship recycling etc. Based on the Memorandum, we held the meetings and seminars as follows; Roundtable conference Norway-Japan cooperation on Maritime Technology and Industry (May 25, 2011) Nordic Green Japan (November 7-8, 2012) Japan-Norway Workshop on Cooperation in the Field of Maritime Technology and Industry (May 10, 2012)

7 Cooperation between Japan and Norway on Private sector D geophysical exploration vessel SIGEN Japan purchased Ramform Victory from PGS(Norway) and converted it Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) contracted the construction agreement of two 3D geophysical exploration vessels with PGS. PGS Titans AS, wholly owned by Petroleum Geo-Services ASA, co-financed by JBIC, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation covered by Buyer s Credit Insurance from NEXI.

8 Cooperation between Japan and Norway on Private sector ¾LNG fueled ships Kawasaki Kisen (K-Line) and DNV have developed the PCC.
