Before moving to Charlotte several years ago, I served as Group leader of the Boston technical analysis group and chairperson for the New England MTA (Market Technicians Association). The acutrade Trading System Software by TRENDadvisor provides the trader and investor a sound methodology and trading plan components for high probability trading and money management. This manual guides you through the timing phase analysis associated with market unpredictability. Historical analysis suggest financially instruments (price) moves in a bell curve style. TRENDadvisor Diamond Analysis takes the bell curve into a phase analysis (detailed in The TRENDadvisor's Guide to Profitable Trading) acutrade Trading System Software identifies the six phases of trend - 3 buy sides and 3 sell sides as part of our indicator suite. Breakthrough weight values identify the quality and strength of the up and down trends. This game changing component identifying the weight values scaled from 0 to 100 for financial instruments in trend. For example if we are in the Bullish Phase of a trend and the weight value is 100 which provides the trader/investor a benchmark for the quality and strength of the current trend. When price retreats in a major up trend, traders begin to take profits and the position trader holds for a longer term. acutrade s algorithm isolates these pull backs and the model assigns a minus value to the weight. 5 acutrade Studies & Sub-Graphs The acutrade Trading System Software is a trend following algorithm system with a clearly defined rule set for entry, 1st objectives and protective stops. Below are the components in your analysis group and where the indicators reside on your chart. Once the indicators are populated on your chart we recommend saving the analysis group for recall on any new chart. The following pages will describe how we use the indicators and how the Buy / Sell setups are generated. The next page will display the complete system with annotations while the pages following will describe the indicators. 6 acutrade System & Indicators The key to the acutrade system is the setup & execution bars noted below at Point A. Since no two traders trade alike we will show a number of alternative ways to trade our software. Once price crosses above/below acutrade_i the software produces a setup bar. When that bar closes a price is populated suggesting a buy/sell signal. High probability trades often develop when a set of indicators are displaying like values. ON Sept. 6th Point A - a setup displayed in yellow was printed. This suggests our acutrade_osc was not in agreement with the acutrade_i indicator. What we look for is the bars following the setup bar called the execution bar where the trade is entered. The execution bar should be in the color of; green for entering a long position and red for entering a short. Below the execution bar turned green confirming acutrade_osc moving into plus territory. We also had up slope 50 & 200 PMAs, MarketPhase was in BullishPhase with advancing volume. These all confirm a high probability trade. 11

7 acutrade_osc The acutrade_osc indicator is a great compliment to the acutrade_i and some traders use it as a stand alone signal generator. The indicator identifies price trend transitions while mitigating sideways movements. The scale is made up of the oscillator value and 2 variable inputs (9 & -9). The oscillator displays the quality of trend over time. Strong expansion trends are seen when 9 & -9 zones are achieved. The 9 & -9 values are points of directional expansion (these could be changed if the financial has a high volatility). Often, these areas identify OverBought and OverSold zones. OverBought and OverSold conditions can last for an extended period of time. For OverBought we first have the cross above 9 then we wait for the cross below 9 for the near term expansion. This allows for the condition of being OverBought to mature. The reverse conditions are for OverSold. Our yellow warning bars provide the trader an added filter of price. Alerts can be turned on for Oscillator moving above and below zero. 14

The acutrade_sm allows the user to change input values based on their trading style as well as how they want to evaluate and view the chart. Alerts and pop ups can be enabled by choosing the alert tab. The alert for the acutrade_sm will tell the trader when acutrade_osc_ob or acutrade_osc_os has met their criteria. 16
