The barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, fell points or 0.34% to settle at 30, The Nifty 50 index fell 9.70 points or 0.10% to settle at 9, The Sensex ended a tad above the psychologically important 30,000 mark after briefly sliding below that level in late trade. Selling in index pivotals ITC and HDFC weighed on indices as domestic bourses remained in negative zone for most part of the last day. The market was volatile as traders rolled over positions in the futures & options (F&O) segment from the near month April 2017 series to May 2017 series. The near month April 2017 derivatives contract expired on 27 April 2017.Among secondary barometers, the BSE Mid-Cap index rose 0.07%, outperforming the Sensex. The BSE Small-Cap index fell 0.02%. The decline in this index was lower than the Sensex's decline in percentage terms. MARKET TODAY S Trading of Nifty 50 index futures on the Singapore stock exchange indicates that the Nifty could rise 5 points at the opening bell.overseas, most Asian shares declined as geopolitical concerns continued to loom over the markets. US President Donald Trump threatened to terminate the US trade agreement with South Korea, declaring that the five-year-old accord with a key ally was a horrible deal that has left America destroyed. Trump also warned that conflict with North Korea was possible, even though he said he preferred peaceful resolution more.in Europe, the European Central Bank (ECB) left its monetary policy unchanged even as ECB President Mario Draghi acknowledged the economic recovery taking place in the Euro zone. 2 SECTORAL INDICES: NIFTY SHORT TERM OUTLOOK: The Nifty continued with its recent winning streak for a third consecutive day on 26 th April. The rally, which had started from the lower end of the reverse rising channel, is extending smartly on the upside, and has taken out the upper end of the channel in last session. On the way up, the Nifty has crossed the all-time high of and is now pushing the daily upper Bollinger Band higher. In last session, the Nifty has crossed the resistance zone of on a closing basis. In terms of the wave structure, the Nifty is forming the third leg of an impulse on the upside, for which 9500 will be the short-term target. The medium-term target can now be pegged at On the flip side, will act as a crucial support zone from a short-term perspective.
