Oucome 3 on Susainable use managemen includes l use climae relaed aciviies. Oucome 4 on Susainable producion consumpion also includes measures in he wider economy sociey. I is exremely difficul o provide informaion wih even reasonable cerainy on hese, considering ha mainsreaming he principles of biodiversiy conservaion wih developmen secors is sill an uphill ask. - The quesions 4 5 should have had a column on proporion of GEF funding availed in GEF-4 period, proposed o be availed in GEF-5 period, in order o unders he rends requiremens of GEF gran. - I is imporan o noe ha GEF provides incremenal co-funding for global environmenal benefis, a basic principle which is no adequaely refleced in he quesionnaire. To assess he oal funding requiremen of counries during a GEF cycle is differen funding GEF per se. - Las, bu no he leas, he uiliy of underaking his massive, ime-consuming exercise is no clear. This marks an approximae increase of 57.86% over he Xh Plan period. To work ou esimaes for GEF 6, he XII h Plan oulays for 3 scenarios of increase viz by 50%, 75% 100% have been projeced over he base year of The quesions lised in he CBD quesionnaires were answered using projecions based on he level of funding as on 2011 which was exrapolaed for increases a he rae of 50%, 75% 100% he base year Also, under Quesion 3, owing o he peripheral naure of he aciviies relaed o conservaion, some relevan projecs coming under oher minisries viz, Minisry of Rural Developmen, Minisry of Urban Developmen, Minisry of Earh Sciences Minisry of Agriculure have been included.
