5 For our agency, 2016 will be remembered as the year everything changed. The aftermath of media coverage last October presented a number of significant challenges for the organization as the year came to a close. When crisis hits, you see who you are as an organization, and Goodwill learned that we are made of some amazing people. Our program staff continued to help thousands of people towards their dreams of employment last year and our retail professionals dutifully served both donors and shoppers across the community. The dedication of these employees define who we are at Goodwill. Going forward, the focus of this agency is eliminating barriers, empowering people and protecting the environment. We are setting out to prove it to the community every day. Join us as we close the books on one of the most difficult years in the history of our agency, and celebrate all that lies ahead for Goodwill and the people we serve in the years to come.
