For regulatng the payment of perqustes and allowances under cafetera approach, the Offcers wll have optons to choose perqustes and allowance from the followng heads: () Transport Subsdy: Offcers not avalng Conveyance allowance or the faclty of a Car provded by the Company shall be pad Transport 4% of basc pay per month. Physcally challenged offcers shall be allowed addtonal 5% of basc pay per month towards transport subsdy on producton of certfcate,from CMO of a Govt. Hosptal alongwth opton form. Or Conveyance Allowance: An Offcer ownng any type of motor vehcle and not avalng faclty of company's car/vehcle, shall be alowed ConveyancE' of basc pay per month ncludng cost of fuel, mantenance and payment of taxes and nsurance. Those offcers who are provded wth a Company Car, the expendture on car provded should be excluded for the purposes of computng the cost to company. () Drver Allowance: Offcers ownng a four wheeer shall be allowed Drver of basc pay per month provded a drver s employed. () Chldren Educaton Allowance: FxeculvE's shrtll he permttrd 10 draw Chldren Educaton of basc pay per month for maxmum of two chldren. (v) Hostel Allowance:.. Executves, whose chldren are studyng at an out staton (other than the Home town or place of postng of the Executve) and resdng n HostelS/Rented ac'coltlltlodaton shall be of basc pay per month for maxmum of two chldren. 2 (v) Meal subsdy: The subsdy towards maxmum of two meals (Lunch/Evenng Snacks) shall be 5% n terms of cash or vouchers or both as per offcer's opton. The detaled modaltes regardng vouchers wll be ssued separately. (v) Professonal upgradaton/development Allowance: The Offcers shall be allowed an amount equvalent to 8% of ther basc pay per month for purchase of any number of professonal books, encyclopeda, manuals, journals, Newspaper, audo/vsual and for enrchment ofther professonal knowledge. (v) House furnlshlng/re furnlshlng allowance: An amount equvalent to 9% of basc pay per month shall be allowed to the offcers for purchase of curtans, wall pantng/hangngs, carpets, decoratve materals, cutlery and other household applances etc and for purchase, repar or replacement of household furnture and other durables. (v) Electrcty and Water Allowance: The offcers resdng n houses owned by them or ther famly members or rented houses or n Corporaton owned/leased accommodaton shall be allowed Electrcty and Water Allowance lmted to 8% of basc pay per month. (x) Famly mantenance and dsturbance allowance: An offcer, who s posted away from hs hometown and where the famly s not resdng wth the offcer shall be allowed famly mantenance of hs basc pay per month. (x) Unform & Mantenance allowance: The Offcers shall be of Basc pay per month towards Unform and Mantenance Allowance. (X) Domestc assstance allowance: The offcers shall be allowed an amount equvalent to 4% of basc pay per month as domestc assstance allowance. (x) nternet/communcaton Allowance - The Offcers shall be allowed an amount of 4% of basc pay per month as nternet/communcaton Allowance. (x) Engagement of Gardner - The Offcers shall be allowed an amount of 4% of the basc pay per month to engage the servces of the Gardner f space for gardenng s avalable at hs own/rented/leased accommodaton for whch a self certfcate s requred to be gven alongwth opton. (Xv) Dsablty allowance for dependent chldren: The offcers havng dependent Physcally /Mentally Challenged Chldren shall be allowed a specal dsablty allowance for dependent of the basc pay per month for whch a certfcate from the Chef Medcal Offcer of the Govt. Hosptal s requred to be submtted alongwth opton form. (xv) nterest SubSdy on loans: The Offcers shall be allowed nterest subsdy on loans borrowed for varous of basc pay per month... (xv) Sundry AQwance:- The offcers shall be pad sundry of basc pay per rllonth for expenses on rllscelaneous account.

(xv) Brthday Gft Memento :- The offcers shall be allowed rembursement of the cost of any gft memento of hs/her choce on the month of hs/her brthday, subject to the celng of 2% of the annual basc pay. The Offcers concerned shall exercse the opton n the prescrbed opton format for selectng the tems under cafetera approach to the maxmum extent of 34% of the basc pay. 2. n case of suspenson, only subsstence allowance as applcable on the revsed basc pay shall be payable. 3. Offcals on long leave such as study leave, EOl on any ground, chld care leave and Maternty/paternty leave shall not be elgble for these perks durng ther leave perod. 4. The offcers can exercse opton n the prescrbed format of selectng the tems under cafetera approach at the begnnng of fnancal year only, f an offcer wants to change the tem, he/she can submt a new opton at the begnnng of fnancal year otherwse the opton exercsed earler wll contnue. However, offcers who are on transfer from one place to another may be permtted to change and re-submt ther opton afresh. The perqustes and allowances shall be pad along wth monthly salary on the bass of self certfcaton/declaraton. 5. The lablty of ncome tax, f any, n respect of perqustes and allowances chosen by the offcer shall be borne by the ndvdual tself. However, the vouchers/cash memos etc. are furnshed wth clams, ncome tax exempton wll be consdered as per provsons of ncome Tax Act. 6. Famly Plannng Allowances: Famly Plannng Allowances s beng pad to the employees of the Corporaton n terms of gudelnes ssued by Central Govt., shall be dscontnued w.ej No other allowances beyond 34% of the Basc pay shall be admssble.
