The SMSF Association is delighted to present the sponsorship opportunities for the upcoming SMSF Association trustee event. The one day event will be held at the Aerial UTS Function Centre, Sydney on 30 October 2017 and is expected to gather a group of approximately 200 engaged individuals managing their own superannuation. This event will provide a great opportunity to connect with SMSF trustees in a face to face environment, and educate them on how your products and services can assist them or become a part of an effective and balanced investment portfolio. The SMSF Association has a wide-ranging calendar of events engaging professionals working with SMSFs, spanning large and small scale events such as the annual SMSF Association National Conference, national Technical Day roadshow, Intensive workshops and Masterclasses. With our trustee community experiencing rapid growth, we have dynamic plans to increase our event profile nationally. The SMSF Sector & Superannuation Fund Type Superannuation assets in Australia totalled $2.30 trillion at the end of the March 2017 quarter according to APRA There were a total of 590,742 SMSFs as at 31 March 2017 SMSFs account for approximately 30% of a $2.30 trillion market The average total balance of an SMSF is $1,030,530 The average SMSF member balance is $535,875 The average number of new SMSFs set up per month in the last quarter is 2,145 By 2033, Deloitte research projects SMSF assets alone will total $2.23 trillion The SMSF Association Trustee Knowledge Centre In 2016/2017, the SMSF Association committed $150k to our national advertising campaign for trustees, which ran November-March with the objective of: Driving unique traffic to the website to view our sponsor s brands and provide an opportunity to click through to their SMSF related education content and website. Increasing the contactable SMSF Association trustee community. This campaign saw an increase in our marketable database by 99.6%, to which sponsor education content is promoted to in monthly s. Since the start of the advertising campaign in November, we also saw a 156% growth of website users. The SMSF Association will continue to invest in national advertising annually, growing our contactable trustee database and expanding the Trustee Knowledge Centre and event footprint.
