2 INTRODUCTION TO THE CHIEF OFFICERS SUMMIT Chief executive officers (CEOs) and Chief investent officers (CIOs) ust bring deep knowledge and insight to bear as they execute enterprise-level responsibilities for public pension plans. The NCPERS Chief Officers Suit is designed to prepare these leaders to drive their organizations forward in the face of constantly evolving opportunities and challenges. At a tie when ost pension plans find theselves operating in a fishbowl, taking tie out to learn is critical. CEOs and CIOs who participate in the Chief Officers Suit can access the tools, techniques, and knowledge necessary to enhance their effectiveness and stand up to scrutiny. This two-day progra offers a content-rich and iersive experience to ake the ost of busy executives tie out of the office. Participants can expect to coe away with a deepened understanding of current trends in critical areas such as risk anageent, governance, technology, and investent strategy. The Chief Officers Suit was created to help public pension plan CEOs and CIOs execute their wide-ranging responsibilities nibly and effectively. Prograing is tailored to each discipline, with the suit separated into parallel tracks that enable CEOs and CIOs to exaine their ost pressing issues. Participants in the Chief Officers Suit can expect to hear fro seasoned professionals over the course of two full days of sophisticated prograing developed by an advisory faculty of their peers. Both the CEO and CIO tracks are participant-driven progras that focus on the distinct challenges that id-arket plans face, and provide plan executives with the opportunity to work collaboratively in solutions-focused sall group discussions. The facilitated sall-group discussions that occur at the end of each general session are a highlight of the progra, helping participants to extract, distill, and discuss the ost iportant and relevant lessons. Extensive opportunities for networking are provided at two evening receptions, eal ties, and refreshent breaks, at which participants fro both tracks have the opportunity to coe together. To ensure a strong educational focus, participation by arketers fro the vendor counity is allowed during the suit s reception and dinner events only.

3 2019 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS The CIO SUMMIT track features four general sessions. They cover CIO leadership and anaging investent teas, a wide range of investent atters addressed in back-to-back sessions, and concludes with retireent industry trends and perspectives. The CEO SUMMIT track features four general sessions organized around the following thees: leadership and board governance, technology and cybersecurity, disability progras and other current issues, and the politics of pension funding.
