1 Article 3 Individual Employee Contracts B. Length of Contract: The total length of the employee's individual contract shall be one hundred ninetytwo (192) days. The one hundred ninety-two (192) days includes the professional responsibilities of staff, which are detailed below: i. Scheduled Days: The District will schedule one hundred eighty-three (183) days as follows: 1. Two (2) day before the start of school. 2. One hundred eighty (180) days of school. 3. One (1) on the October in-service day as indicated on the District calendar. ii. Non-scheduled Days: The staff will complete nine (9) days in non-scheduled time for the list of responsibilities below: 1. Preparation of local, state, and federal documents; 2. Preparing classrooms; 3. Lesson planning; 4. Participation in IEP and/or 504 meetings; 5. Creating and reviewing reports; 6. Grading; 7. Conferences; 8. Open house; 9. Checking out at the end of the school year; and, 10. 2 Extra Time: If an employee is receives prior authorization from their principal to attend a training between the day following the end of school and first training day in August, they will be paid at their per diem rate for the day or days. TRI: Employees shall be paid an additional stipend for Time, Responsibility, and Incentives as outlined below: i. Time: Two (2) days of District-directed time at the employee s per-diem rate. 1. One day will be scheduled in the school calendar and used for District-directed professional development. 2. Teachers may use one optional day to attend professional development trainings on the calendared day in October providing the training is pre-approved by their immediate supervisor. If the district provides professional development trainings on this day these are considered pre-approved for certificated teachers. ii. Responsibility: The payment is in recognition of professional responsibilities outside the regular workday. Payment will be equivalent to ten (10) days of per diem pay. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Evaluation preparation Preparing classrooms for the school year Individual planning Participation in IEP meetings Preparation for instructions Reports Grading, student assessment Conferences/student led conferences Open House End of the year check-out activities Other work-related activities iii. Incentives: 1. Extra Hours: If an employee is requested and/or prior authorization from their principal to perform extra work outside the regular contract or a supplemental contract not covered by another provision of this agreement, they will be paid at their per diem hourly rate. 2. Longevity Stipend: In order to reward long term commitment to the Morton School District, the District shall award longevity stipends as indicated below. These stipends shall be spread equally over the 12-month pay cycle. Years of Service in MSD Stipend Amount $ $750.00

4 Article 17 Workload Workload In the event that class sizes/caseload reach levels that exceed the limits, employees shall receive payment as indicated in the chart below. Overload is triggered if on any count day during the quarter, the limit is exceeded. Monetary compensation shall be paid quarterly. Grade Level Class Size/ Preps Compensation K- 3 Greater than 23 students Per diem per quarter 4-6 Greater than 26 students Per diem per quarter Secondary Greater than 6 different preps* Per diem per quarter *For the purposes of this section, a prep shall be defined as a discrete class, and shall include RTI, but not advisory or any similar homeroom-type class. Special Education is exempt from workload pay Enrichment classes do not count as a prep AVID curriculum/avid tutorial count as one prep Elementary PE counts as one prep LAP pull-outs count as one prep District Representative:
5 Article 17 Work Day Work Day C. Teachers who must cover other teachers classes will be compensated at the BA+0 rate of pay for the exact amount of time a teacher provided coverage. Staff must complete the district s additional time sheet and turn it in by the fifth (5 th ) of the following month for reimbursement. District Representative:
6 Article 18 Payments-Warrents A. Certificated employees are paid based upon the current Washington State Table of Total Base Salaries for Certificated Instructional Staff (State Table) (see Appendix A). The intention of this agreement is for the schedule used to be such that revenues generated by an employee on the State Table will be passed through to that employee. This is based on the understanding of being a flow-through District. Appendix A District Representative:
