1 AGENDA BILL Consent 3 No. Meeting Date: 1/20/15 SUBJECT: CITY TREASURER'S MONTHLY REPORT FOR NOVEMBER 2014 SUMMARY OF THE MATTER: The cash and investments at month end totaled $65,624,690. Excess funds were invested utilizing prudent money management, in compliance with State law and the Investment Policy. The funds were invested in safe, high quality securities with durations of five years or less. The average return on invested funds was 1.08% while the funds in the Local Agency Investment Fund (LAIF) earned 0.26%. The average return was 0.99% and higher than the benchmark 2-year Treasury Bill that traded at 0.47% at November month end.
