1 AGENDA BILL Consent No. 3 Meeting Date: 10/7/14 SUBJECT: CITY TREASURER'S MONTHLY REPORT FOR AUGUST 2014 SUMMARY OF THE MATTER: The cash and investments at month end totaled $69,505,225. Excess funds were invested utilizing prudent money management, in compliance with State law and the Investment Policy. The securities owned by the City were safe, high quality and have a five-year maximum maturity. The inventory has been included in the attached monthly report. No investments were sold prior to maturity so no market value fluctuations were realized. During the holding period the coupon rate of interest was paid to the City.
