6 6 Getting access - day one
7 Signing in for the first time Following the upgrade you ll need to activate your account to access the Aegon Platform. To activate your account follow the Aegon Platform link on the Cofunds login page and follow the steps below: 7 Enter your existing Cofunds details. You ll then be asked to update your security details. Create a new password. Confirm your address - if we already have your address on record. Provide your address - if we don t already have your address on record please note, each user will need a unique address). Create a PIN. We ll then activate your account. Your Cofunds IFA authorisation code and memorable date are no longer needed. If you use Unipass you can link your Unipass account to the Aegon Platform.

15 Intermediary dashboard 15 We ve designed the dashboard to work for you and it s fully responsive - so you can view it on your mobile device. The client search tools have been enhanced there s now a number of ways to search for clients. Model portfolios, fund panels, the Research Centre, Report Zone and CGT tool can be accessed from the dashboard. Paraplanners don t need to select an intermediary before searching or transacting.

17 Client and product summary 17 Client contact details are displayed. Product information is easy to understand at a glance. Top-up and switches are easily accessible from the client summary screen.

20 20 Managing cash
21 Changes to cash management What s changed? All products have a cash facility with no minimum cash holding: 21 - The Cofunds cash account has been replaced by the GIA cash facility. - The ISA Cash reserve has been replaced by the ISA cash facility. Sale for Regular Payment has been replaced by an automatic sell down from the largest available fund in the product. You can: - select nominated funds to sell from, or - set up a recurring switch from a nominated fund. You can also choose to set up auto-rebalancing to manage cash.
22 Charging on cash What s changed? 22 There s no margin taken from any interest earned in the product s cash facility. Cash held within the cash facility of any product attracts interest at a gross rate of Bank of England base rate less 0.05%. Charges are calculated on total value of the product, including the cash facility.
23 Managing cash There are five ways to manage cash within a product: We ll automatically sell the correct amount from the largest available fund. 2. Nominate a fund to sell down from an existing product wrapper this will ring fence the cash to cover charges. 3. Recurring switch to cash instruction the cash won t be ring-fenced. 4. Online switch to cash top up cash whenever it s needed. 5. Auto rebalance choose to rebalance your client s investment back to the current investment strategy. Remember to turn off the auto rebalance before a switch, unless you want your client s investments rebalanced back to the original investment strategy.

27 Key dates 27 Action Date Adviser charges Ongoing charges are deducted on the first working day of the month 1 and will be paid on the following Monday. Initial / ad hoc fees paid each Monday. All paid by BACs. Regular contributions From 1 st to 28 th of the month. Maximum flexibility around collection. Regular withdrawals SIPP drawdown income on 9 th, 18 th or 27 th of the month. ISA / GIA withdrawals on 9 th, 18 th or 27 th of the month. Client income payments can all be made on the same day. Consolidated natural income Paid on 12 th of the month. Recurring switch (into cash or from cash) Switched on 9th or 22nd of the month. 1 If no cash is available to pay ongoing fees we ll sell down to pay the fees and payment will be made when funds are available.
