1 C R I T E R I A The GAMA Awards Program recognizes exceptional agency and firm leaders around the world for their commitment to excellence in the financial services industry: u Participation in the GAMA Awards Program is based on production figures for the calendar year u Each applicant must be an active GAMA member in good standing for. Master Agency Award/Master Firm Award Who qualifies: Agency heads of ordinary/traditional agencies and financial planning/securities-based firms Minimum qualifying Commission levels of $7,600,000; see application for complete criteria performance: Fee: $250 (plus $75 per co-applicant); see application for additional details Master Multiline Award Who qualifies: Agency heads of multiline operations Minimum qualifying $300,000 gross life and annuity premiums and $10,000,000 gross P&C premiums; see application for performance: complete criteria Fee: $250 (plus $75 per co-applicant); see application for additional details International Management Award Who qualifies: First-line managers (heads of agencies or firms) and frontline or second-/middle-line managers (sales or unit managers). Applicants must personally supervise at least eight full-time career agents, advisors, or sales representatives in an agency or firm. (MMA/MFA/MMA qualifiers are automatically entered for the IMA and do not need to submit an IMA application or filing fee.) 4 COMMISSION REP ORTS How to Use the Commission Report Participation in the GAMA Awards Program is based on your production during the calendar year Pages 5 through 11 contain commission reports for each award. Please fill out the commission reports (one for each award) and submit them to your home office for certification. Your home office awards coordinator will verify your production numbers and return a certified, signed copy of your commission report for you to include in your GAMA Awards Program application packet. No application is considered complete without a certified commission report. How to Use the Eligible Production Credit Table The commission report for each award contains formulas that will help you determine your total eligible To determine what production credits are eligible to be included toward your GAMA award, please refer to the eligible production credit table on page 15. How to Use the International Conversion Table All production numbers should be expressed in U.S. dollars (USD) or international conversion equivalents (ICE). To help our non-u.s. members convert their commission figures into ICE, we have included an international conversion table on page 16. Please note these conversion factors are provided by MDRT, based on their membership qualifications. Production requirements are set independently for each country. Conversion factors have no relationship to currency exchange rates and are used only to standardize processing. EXAMPLE: Jose Ramirez, from Mexico, has total commissions for 2011 of 15,721,280 pesos. He can use the international conversion table in two ways: 1. Jose can divide his commission in pesos by his country s conversion factor to convert it to ICE units. Mexico s ICE conversion factor is ,721,280 divided by = 2,472,560.2 ICE units Jose can use this figure on his commission reports as his commissions for Jose can check on the columns to the right of the conversion factor for Mexico to determine the minimum level of ICE units that will qualify him for each level in the GAMA Awards Program. 16 International Conversion Table To convert your non-u.s. production number to its International Conversion Equivalent (ICE), divide your commissions by the conversion factor found after each country s name. The figure provided for each award level show the ICE needed to meet the minimum production target for that award level. Example: Jose Ramirez, from Mexico, has total commissions for 2011 of 15,721,280 pesos. He can use the international conversion table in two ways: 1.
