3 MEDICAL CAMPAIGN 2016 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS & ANSWERS A. CAMPAIGN DETAILS 1) When is the campaign period? The campaign period is from 15 March 2016 to 31 May ) What is the campaign s objective? To cross-sell Medical Plans or Riders to selected existing AIA customers who do not own any medical coverage with us. 3) What is the eligible basic plan under this Campaign? a) A-Life Med Regular / A-Life MedRegular-i or; b) A-LifeLink./ A-LifeLink-i (attach with medical riders) c) A-Life Cancer360 / A-Life Cancer360-i 4) Can other riders be attached to this plan? a) A-Plus MedBooster / A-Plus MedBooster-i can be attached to A-Life MedRegular / A-Life MedRegular-i ; b) A-Plus Med / A-Plus Med-i and A-Plus MedBooster / A-Plus MedBooster-i can be attached to A- LifeLink / A-LifeLink-i. c) A-Plus CriticalCover / A-Plus CriticalCover-i and A-Plus LifeCover / A-Plus LifeCover-i can be attached to A-Life Cancer360 / A-Life Cancer360-i. B. OFFER ELIGIBILITY 5) How did AIA select the customers for this campaign? Customers are selected based on:- I. Agency base II. At least 1 in-force policy / certificate III. Insured / Person Covered who do not have any medical plan or rider NOTE: Hot Leads tagging is based on the past 2 years purchasing behavior analysis where this group of customers will likely to purchase / participate in a plan from us. 6) Is medical underwriting required? 7) Is my customer required to answer any health questions? 4 C. APPLICATION SUBMISSION 8) What is the submission method? There are 2 methods: I. For ipos users, you can submit the applications via ipos. II. For manual submission, you can submit the Application Forms over-the-counter. 9) What are the documents required for submission? a. For applications via ipos, you are required to observe the normal e-application process requirement. b. For applications using the hard copy forms, you are required to follow the current practice requirement. 10) Is it compulsory for Rookie Agents to obtain the leader s signature? 11) What is the payment method? Customer can choose to pay by: I. Cash; or II. Cheque; or III. Credit card. For credit card payment, only Visa / MasterCard is accepted. For submissions via ipos, credit card payment is preferred because it will expedite the approval turnaround time. 12) What is the mode of payment? The customer may choose to pay monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually. D. ACCESS TO SELECTED CUSTOMER LEADS 13) How do I get my selected customer leads? I. For ipos activated users, please refer to the Retrieving Customer Leads Guide for ipos available in both ipos iresource Centre and ALPP. II. For ipos non-activated users, you may access your leads on the ALPP. Please refer to the Retrieving Customer Leads Guide for ALPP available in ALPP for more information. 14) Do I need to upgrade my ipos to the latest version to access my customer leads? No. E. AGENCY INCENTIVE 15) What is the agency incentive? Please refer to the Agency Circular Q Contests issued by Agency Distribution Department. Medical Campaign - FAQ Pg 4 of 7
5 F. CUSTOMER INCENTIVE 16) What is the customer incentive for this campaign? Selected customers participating in this campaign will be entitled to RM100 cash reward*. *Terms & Conditions applied (refer Q18). 17) What are the criteria to be entitled for this customer incentive? a) All new submissions must be submitted and paid during the campaign period from 15 March - 31 May 2016 and subsequently captured by 15 June b) Customers must purchase/participate in the following combination of recommended products with a minimum annualised premium/contribution of RM3,000. c) Premium/contribution payment must be made via e-payment. 18) If my customer purchases/participates in A-LifeLink/A-LifeLink-i with 4 riders without A-Plus Med/A-Plus Med-i but meets the required RM3,000 ANP/ANC, will he/she be eligible for the cash incentive? No. Customers must purchase/participate in the recommended products based on the combination above (refer Q18) to qualify for the RM100 cash incentive. 19) If my customer purchases/participates in more than one recommended plan at one time, how much cash incentive will the customer receive? All qualified customers (policy owner / participant and insured / person covered) will receive the cash incentive by policy level. Example: if Ali purchase / participate in 3 recommended plans and meet all the set requirements, he will be entitled for RM300 (3 policies / certificates x RM100) in total. 20) What happens if A-Plus Saver/A-Plus Saver-i is added to A-LifeLink / A-LifeLink-i? A-Plus Saver/A-Plus Saver-i is not considered a rider. You may add A-Plus Saver/A-Plus Saver-i in order to meet the minimum annualised premium/contribution of RM3,000. The minimum annualised premium/contribution of RM3,000 (inclusive of A-Plus Saver / A-Plus Saver-i / Schedule Top-up) is subject to a maximum of one time of the basic Regular Premium / Contribution. 21) How soon will the RM100 Cash Incentive be credited to the qualified customer s bank account? Your customer s bank account number must be valid so that the RM100 cash incentive can be credited to his/her bank account by end July Medical Campaign - FAQ Pg 5 of 7
6 22) If my customer is unable to provide a valid bank account number, can he/she be eligible for the RM100 cash incentive? There will be no crediting of the RM100 cash incentive if there is no valid bank account number. 23) Will there be any notification to my customer once the cash credit is done? No. 24) How do I know whether the RM100 cash incentive already credited into customer account? If your customers are the qualifiers, the RM100 cash incentive will be credited into customer s bank account and in the bank statement will show - AIA Medical Campaign RM100 Cash Incentive. 25) Will I receive the qualifiers list? All the qualifiers list will be sent to you via for your reference once the list is finalised. 26) Am I entitled to other gifts in conjunction with other promotions or vouchers? The RM100 cash incentive is not applicable with other promotions. G. REPLACEMENT OF POLICY (ROP) 27) My customer purchased / participate in the A-Life MedRegular / A-Life MedRegular-i under Medical Campaign offer and subsequently cancelled their existing policy / certificate. Will ROP be imposed? Yes, ROP rule applies. The purpose of this Medical Campaign is to offer customers to top up their medical coverage. As such, any surrender of old policies / certificates after the policy / certificate is set in force (subject to the ROP rules) will trigger ROP. 28) My customer cancelled their existing policy / certificate before participating in this Medical Campaign. Will ROP be imposed? Yes, ROP rule applies. Any policies / certificates surrendered or terminated within 12 months before another new policy / certificate is purchased, the ROP rule will apply on the new policy / certificate. H. SUPPORT FROM CUSTOMER MARKETING 29) What are the communication channels for this campaign? Marketing Materials AIA Premier ALPP ipos Resource Centre 1. Agency Circular 2. Campaign FAQ 3.
