2 APPLICATION FACT SHEET AND CHECK LIST The Colorado Grand is open to racing cars and sports cars of distinction built in 1960 or before. The event will begin on Monday, September 11, and ends at noon on Saturday, September 16. APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY MAY 1, 2017 TO: Colorado Grand ATTN: Angie Getchel 5286 La Quinta Circle Elizabeth, CO Phone: Fax: Please submit a deposit check in the amount of $1,500 with your application. Notification will be sent by May 31, 2017, advising all applicants of their status as Accepted, Wait Listed, or Not Accepted. If the applicant s entry is not accepted, the entry deposit will be returned. The balance of the entry fee for accepted applications shall be due by July 3, In the case that an accepted entrant must cancel his or her entry, all money will be refunded in full until August 4, 2017, after which the entry fee and deposit will be non-refundable. If it is necessary to substitute for an accepted car, the Eligibility Committee must approve the proposed substitution. Substitutions of non-eligible cars will not be permitted. The Colorado Grand organizers feel compelled to comply strictly to this policy to preserve the integrity of the event. Each car entry will be assigned a condominium or one hotel room for each night (double-occupancy). Each entry will include breakfasts, lunches and dinners for driver and co-driver along the route. A limited number of single room supplements are available for those needing two rooms. Prior to the start of the Tour, you will be required to show proof of both a valid driver s license and liability insurance. Colorado law requires minimum levels of $25,000 per person, $50,000 per accident. Uninsured motorist coverage is also required. Vehicle identification number or other authorized identification certificates must be submitted to the event office prior to any license plates being issued. Special legal parade license plates will be provided for every car. Please mail copies of your insurance, VIN or serial number documentation, and a copy of your driver s license with your application, or upon notification of acceptance.

Our dates are September 11 th 16 th. We will be arriving and checking in on Monday, then driving Tuesday through Friday. The finish line dinner, benefit auction and award presentation will be held Friday evening. We are ending on Saturday with a leisurely brunch at our host hotel, the Hotel Talisa, (formally the Cascade). We will not be holding the Saturday Concours d non Elegance as we have had in past years. We have a fantastic route selected that explores some of our most scenic Colorado roads. Along with Vail, we will be spending nights in Snowmass, Telluride and Crested Butte this year. The Telluride visit allows us to once again have our popular dine around at the fine restaurants available there. Last year s event put our total donations to over $5 million. Our donations supported the Colorado State Patrol Family Foundation, the Robert Sutherland Foundation, college scholarships for students from every town we visit for lunch and more than twenty other worthy organizations. We thank you for being part of The Colorado Grand, a truly unique event in our car hobby. Now celebrating 29 years of enabling so many enthusiasts to experience their cars as they were meant to be driven, enjoying an amazing week with likeminded people, all while having a meaningful impact on the communities we visit. PUBLICITY RELEASE As a condition of entry acceptance, the driver, entrant, owner, and/or co-driver agree to permit the Colorado Grand, Inc. and its assigns the use of their name, voice and/or likeness for news, publicity, and feature use including radio, television, and printed media, and in connection with advertising and purposes of trade. 7 Each participant, including co-drivers and crew members, will be required to sign a waiver of liability as a condition of entry. A special squadron of the Colorado State Highway Patrol will accompany us on our journey, facilitating traffic, providing communication, and arranging breakdown assistance. Drivers must observe all traffic laws. Infraction of traffic laws may be grounds for expulsion from the event. Crew packages will be strictly limited and will be reviewed prior to acceptance. Absolutely no more than one crew package per entrant is allowed. In keeping with the spirit of the event, we [The Colorado Grand] reserve the right to limit the number of crew and support vehicles.

The deposit will be applied toward the $7,000 entry fee if your application is accepted. If your entry is not accepted, the deposit of $1,500 will be refunded. We will mail the results of the review by the Eligibility Committee not later than May 31, 2017 so that you can make your plans. The remainder of the entry fee ($5,500) will be due on July 3, Please make all remittances payable to The Colorado Grand, Inc. Full refunds will be made up to August 4, 2017, after which the entry fee and deposit will then be non-refundable. If it is necessary to substitute for a previously accepted car, the substitute car must be reviewed, approved, and accepted by the Eligibility Committee prior to final acceptance of the entry.
