The current policy expires on February 27, 2019; all interested parties must be able to ensure coverage will be effective February 27, The policy period for all proposals shall be for a one year term from February 27, 2019 to February 27, A proposal for a one year term is mandatory however proposals for two and three year terms may also be submitted if more cost effective. Any proposal submitted for a multiyear term that does not also include the mandatory one year proposal term will be disqualified. The Board has the discretion to evaluate all proposals and choose the term in the best interest of the school district. All proposals must contain the following coverage limits: 1. Liability - Bodily Injury/Property Damage - $1,000,000 Single Limit 2. Medical Payments - $5,000 Each Person 3. Uninsured Motor Vehicle: Bodily Injury - $50,000 Each Person, $50,000 Each Accident, Property Damage - $25,000 Each Accident All proposals must be compliant with State Department of Education insurance requirements for fleet insurance on school buses and school maintained vehicles. Other benefits and/or services provided as part of their insurance package or services may be included; however, these items must be listed separately and itemized in detail. All proposals must include a total term policy amount for the base insurance coverage as specified above. The following information is included as part of this request for proposal packet: 1. A Five Year Loss Information Report from our current fleet insurance provider (Auto Owners) 2. A list of all CDL Drivers and all Class C Drivers 3. An itemized list of all vehicles (buses, cars, and trucks) owned and operated by the school district that shall be covered under this policy (including year, make, model, and VIN # information) The Toombs County Board of Education Transportation Department maintains current MVR reports on file for all drivers. If this information is needed for review in order for a proposal to be submitted, please contact Belinda Denmark, Transportation Director, at (912) Please note that we will not allow these documents to leave our premises; however, they are indeed available for review and inspection if needed or required in order to compile your proposal.

2 The Board does indeed perform drug and alcohol testing on all school bus drivers as required by State Board of Education requirements. The Board will evaluate all proposals at the February 14, 2019 Board meeting will award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible party meeting all terms, conditions, and specifications of the RFP within approximately ten days of opening the proposals. The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or to accept any part of a bid without accepting the whole thereof, or to accept such bid as they deem to be in the best interest of the Board.
