2 2 Private Banking Summit Is change happening quickly enough? Private Wealth Management is undergoing an unprecedented process of transformation. Private banks have to align their business models to increasingly complex regulation. Uncertain capital markets and the ongoing sovereign debt crisis are still substantial challenges for banks in charge of preserving and enhancing wealth of demanding customers. Only those banks which respond to the growing customer needs with regard to performance, best services and best practice will assert themselves in a tightened environment of competition. This requires perfectly qualified staff as well as a compliance policy and a risk management which are best of breed at any time. This is cost intensive and asks for efficient strategies providing an enduring profitability. At the same time it is essential to enhance customer experience and to manage the leap into the digital age without putting traditional values and the customer focused philosophy of a private bank at stake.
