2 COMMIION DECIION of establishing the projects of common interest eligible in the area of the trans-european transport network selected for receiving Community financial aid in the framework of Decision C(2008)1561 for the multi-annual work programme 2008 and the call for proposals launched on 25 April 2008 THE COMMIION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIE, Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community, Having regard to Regulation (EC) N 680/2007 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2007 laying down general rules for the granting of Community financial aid in the field of trans-european transport and energy networks 1, and in particular Article 9(1) thereof, Whereas: (1) Commission Decision C(2008)1561 of 22 April 2008 establishes the multi-annual work programme for grants in the field of the trans-european transport network (TEN-T) for the year (2) The Commission has applied the criteria laid down in Article 5 of Regulation (EC) N 680/2007 and the objectives and priorities defined in the framework of Decision No 1692/96/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 July 1996 on Community guidelines for the development of the trans-european transport network 2 when establishing the multi-annual work programme. (3) Based on the multi-annual work programme the Commission has launched on 25 April 2008 three calls for proposals for the following groups of projects: i) Projects in the field of ''Motorways of the ea''; ii) Projects in the field of ''Rivers Information ervices (RI)" and iii) Projects in the field of "Air Traffic Management (ATM) / Functional Airspace Blocks (FABs)''projects of common interest in the field of the Trans-European Networks for Transport (TEN-T) (4) Following the call for proposals based on the multi-annual work programme, the Commission, acting in accordance with the procedure referred to in Article 15(2) of Regulation (EC) No 680/2007, should decide on the amount of financial aid to be granted to the projects or parts of projects selected. (5) The selection provided for in this Decision is in accordance with the opinion of the Committee set up under Article 15(1) of Regulation (EC) No 680/2007, 1 2 OJ L 162, , p. 1.
