1 n ssetmark Trust Company Service Understanding Cash dvantage - Checking ccounts Frequently sked Questions Through its Cash dvantage SM service, ssetmark Trust Company makes available a checking account from The Bancorp Bank ( Bancorp ) that can handle your clients everyday banking needs while keeping their long term investment goals in focus. FETURES What are the key features of the Cash dvantage Bancorp Checking ccount? Deposits Earn a Competitive Interest Rate (Visit cashadvantageoverview.com for current rate information.) FDIC Insured Deposits TM ccess Worldwide On-line Bill Payment Services Free Checking Services Mobile app for smart phone banking (available January 2014) Linked to ccount Held at ssetmark Trust Company One-time and utomatic Monthly Transfer Features Overdraft Protection Drawn from Cash Positions vailable in the Linked ssetmark ccount (generally 2% of account) Balances Included on periodic ssetmark Statement and Bancorp s Checking ccount Statements ccount Minimum: $2,500 To which accounts may the Cash dvantage Bancorp Checking ccount be linked? Checking accounts may be linked to any non-retirement account with the same registration as the Checking ccount.* Only one ssetmark ccount and one checking account may be linked. What fees are associated with the Cash dvantage Bancorp Checking ccounts? There are no monthly service fees to maintain these accounts. Typical banking fees may apply for items returned for insufficient funds, wire transfer transactions, and non-standard check reorders. 2 UNDERSTNDING CSH DVNTGE - CHECKING CCOUNTS FQs (cont.) 2 How does Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) insurance apply to my client s Cash dvantage Bancorp Checking ccount? The Checking ccount is an FDIC-insured cash deposit account held by The Bancorp Bank. Standard FDIC insurance program rules are applicable to the checking account only. For additional information on the coverage provided through the FDIC, visit ssetmark accounts are not covered by FDIC. How are interest rates on deposits reviewed and determined? The Bancorp Bank routinely conducts competitive assessments relative to the Cash dvantage Program and other interest bearing programs and sets rates of return based on that market data. How does the Target Monthly Minimum and Target Monthly Maximum transfer feature work? On the 15 th of each month (or the first business day thereafter), a funds transfer will be automatically initiated to or from your client s Checking ccount according to the instructions originally provided on the client s account application or as updated separately thereafter. Target Minimum is the lowest amount the client would like available in his/her Bancorp Checking ccount after the monthly sweep from the linked ssetmark account. If the client s Checking ccount balance is less than the Target Minimum amount, funds will be transferred from the linked ssetmark account to the Checking ccount in order to achieve the Target Minimum balance. Target Maximum (optional) is the highest amount the client would like available in the client s Checking ccount after the monthly sweep. If the Bancorp Checking ccount balance is greater than the Target Maximum amount, funds will be transferred to the linked ssetmark account in order to achieve the Target Maximum balance. Target Minimum of at least $2,500 is a requirement of the Cash dvantage program; however, the client is not required to establish a Target Maximum. How does Overdraft Protection work if my client s withdrawal activity exceeds the available balance in the Checking ccount? ll withdrawal activity on the Bancorp Checking ccount will initially draw from available funds in the Checking ccount. For checks, scheduled utomated Clearing House ( CH ) or online bill payments that exceed the funds available in the Checking ccount, cash positions in the linked account held at ssetmark will be liquidated and automatically transferred to the Checking ccount to cover the difference. The amount transferred will depend upon the amount of the withdrawal transaction(s) presented, and upon the available liquid assets in the linked ssetmark account. No more than 2% of the value of the linked ssetmark account will be available for this overdraft protection. Each debit transaction will be considered separately beginning with the lowest dollar amount transaction received on that day and increasing to the highest dollar amount transactions. Debit card transactions, TM withdrawals and other electronic drafts require the funds to be available in the checking account. These transaction types will not follow the overdraft process described above. How would my client initiate one-time and recurring payments to third-parties (online bill payment services)? Your client may access Bancorp s easy-to-use on-line bill pay features available when they login to cashadvantageclient.com using their secure credentials. For Financial dvisor Use Only. 3 UNDERSTNDING CSH DVNTGE - CHECKING CCOUNTS FQs (cont.) 3 GETTING STRTED How do I open a Cash dvantage Bancorp Checking ccount for my client and where can I find the forms? For a new ssetmark ccount, you may add a Checking ccount during the account set-up process on ewealthmanager. com. You may also add a Checking ccount to an existing ssetmark ccount by using ewealthmanager.com to pull up your client s account in the Online Maintenance Tool. Select the dd Checking ccount feature and follow the instructions to generate the required forms. What forms are required in order to establish a Cash dvantage Bancorp Checking ccount for my client? There are two (2) application options based on the type of account the client wishes to open: 1) Personal or Trust accounts 2) Entity accounts (corporations, partnerships, etc.) Select the application, complete it and submit all initial paperwork with client signature to: ssetmark Trust Company, Inc N. Central ve., 7th Floor Phoenix, Z Or, for overnight correspondence, mail to: ssetmark Trust Company, Inc N. Central ve., 7th Floor Phoenix, Z The first time a Cash dvantage Bancorp Checking ccount is opened for one of your clients, you will be required to complete the TotalCash Manager ccount ccess uthorization. This form establishes the general guidelines between you as the Financial dvisor and The Bancorp Bank. Completing this form provides you with access to TotalCash Manager (TCM), a financial advisor tool that provides a view-only look at your client s banking activity. This form is only required to be completed once per advisor. If you have any questions, please contact our Cash dvantage dvisor Team at fter the application is submitted, what expectations should I set with my client regarding the new Checking ccount? If the forms and required information are received in good order, the client s checking account will be opened within 3-5 business days typically. Within days, The Bancorp Bank will send your client a Welcome package for the Cash dvantage Bancorp Checking ccount. Checks, debit cards, and a Personal Identification Number (PIN) mailer will also be mailed to the client following the initial deposit into the Checking ccount. Here are the key elements your client will receive: Password The client s password for use with will be sent to the client by to the address provided on the account application (if no address is provided, the Password will be sent via USPS) For Financial dvisor Use Only. Not Intended for Use with Clients. ssetmark Trust Company
4 UNDERSTNDING CSH DVNTGE - CHECKING CCOUNTS FQs (cont.) 4 Welcome Kit Sent by mail to client s address of record after the account is opened; includes user ID for logging into client website* Debit Card Ordered and mailed following initial account funding* PIN Mailer Ordered and mailed following initial account funding; the PIN for the debit card may arrive before the card itself* Checks Ordered and mailed following initial account funding NOTE: These items may be delayed if the account application and other required documentation are not provided to ssetmark in good order. ll of these items are sent separately for security purposes. How does my client use the TM card when there are no branches? Your client may make withdrawals or deposits and check their account balances from any of the thousands of participating TMs worldwide. How does my client use the Mobile pp? Your client may download the Bancorp Mobile pp for the iphone and ipad from itunes, or from Google for ndroid devices. Then, your client may use their smart phone or mobile device to access the Checking ccount wherever they are - depositing checks simply by taking a photo, viewing account balances and recent transfers, transferring funds and even paying bills. SERVICING YOUR CLIENT S CCOUNT Who do I contact when I have questions about my client s Cash dvantage Bancorp Checking ccount? fter you have completed the TotalCash Manager ccount ccess uthorization form, you will have access to view information regarding your client s accounts online, as well as receive assistance by telephone. In order to obtain information related to the TotalCash Manager tool or a Cash dvantage account, including deposits, transfers, transactions, overdrafts, or any banking service, contact The Bancorp Bank s Cash dvantage dvisor Team at (Monday through Friday, 9 am to 8 pm ET), or login to cashadvantageadvisors.com. For questions relating to a ssetmark Trust Company account, please contact your assigned Relationship Manager on the dvisor Services team at ssetmark, Inc. at , option 1. *Clients who open additional Cash dvantage accounts may only receive these materials for the first account. Once you have received your login information for TotalCash Manager, you may also establish online or telephone access for the individuals within your office who service client accounts by granting them their own access to TotalCash Manager. For security reasons, this step must be completed before telephone or online access to view your clients accounts may be granted. How do I get a copy of my client s statement sent to me on a regular basis?
