2 TAX RATES DECREASING Corporate Income Tax 7.5% reducing to 4.9% Indiana s corporate income tax rate is decreasing from the current 7.5% to 6.5% by 2015 through 0.5% per year reductions. 3 Outpacing the Nation in Job Growth Indiana s unemployment rate continues on a downward slide this year while the labor force has expanded by more than 250,000. Indiana's rate has declined by 2 percent over the year, which is the third largest decrease in the nation. In addition, the Hoosier State continues to have the highest percentage of manufacturing jobs as a portion of the private sector in the United States. Indiana s share was $34.4 billion, $2.1 billion higher than Indiana s exports increased 6.6% while national exports grew by 4.4% from 2011 to Over the last 10 years, Indiana s exports to China have increased almost seven-fold. In 2012, Indiana ranked 22 nd among the states in terms of value of exported manufactured goods to China, but if agricultural products are included, the state s ranking jumps to 14 th.
