In the event of a resignation of a committee member the vacancy may be filled by a member co-opted by the committee. Governing document The Association is a registered SCIO and the purposes and administration arrangements are set out in our constitution. Charitable purposes The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage.

3 Activities and achievements We had numerous fundraising events during the financial year. In 2016 we had Fife up and Coming at Buckhaven Community Centre. Buckhaven Bowling club fundraiser and Dance through the Decades at Methil Club. We had two big family days out at Craigtoun Park and Lochore meadows. We had numerous pool parties which are very well attended and getting even bigger each month with so many new families joining us. We had our Halloween parties both on the teen night and the family day. Lots of fun had by all. In November we won the Forth FM award for Best Community Group. In 2017 we were awarded from the Postcode Lottery to build our sensory garden and replace our existing cooker and fridge to make things more eco friendly.. We opened the Aurora Sensory Garden on the 24 th of June. We began our after school club in March which is every other Thursday. We held two Autism Awareness open days which gave the public and other organisations to come along and see what we do. Other charitable donations from: The Beavers, Girls Brigade in Methil,Grant from Fife Council for mobile sensory unit, Co-Op community fund, Amazon, Russell Trust for fan light.church donation. Members, Families and Friends fundraising through sponsorship at events such as Tough Mudder,The Glasgow 10k run, Bungee Jump, A 24 hour gaming event by Nicholas Mcbride, an easter raffle by Nisa in Leven and a boxing event by and the many other events throughout the year. Committee members remuneration and expenses The committee members did not receive any remuneration during the year. Reserves As a result of the cash deficit of 6,331 for the year, the Association held unrestricted funds totalling 14,250 including designated funds of 6,000 and restricted funds of 2,551. 7 Autism Rocks (Fife), SC INDEPENDENT EXAMINER S REPORT I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 30 April 2017, which are set out on the preceding pages. Respective responsibilities of committee and examiner The committee is responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations The committee considers that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (d) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of independent examiner s statement My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the committee concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts. Independent examiner s statement In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention 1 which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements: o to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44(1) (a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 accounts Regulations, and o to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations have not been met, or 2 to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
