3 TRAINER BIODATA Mr J Selvarajah Mr J. Selvarajah CA (M), CA (NZ), PNA (Aust), A.T.I.I, B.Com.(Acc) is a practising accountant with 35 years of experience and has spent considerable time in auditing and assurance, internal audit and risk management, taxation and corporate secretarial services. He is presently a Partner of The Omar Arif group practice which comprises of 3 medium sized long established firms of chartered accountants in Kuala Lumpur. His wide range of experience includes corporate restructuring, cross border tax issues, including setting up of tax effective companies in Labuan and Hong Kong, corporate financing, conducting corporate governance and risk management training for an established medical centre, hospital and school of nursing, a resort and an educational institution. He has been instrumental in setting up standard operating and control procedures and risk management for a long and well established 5-star Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. He is also actively involved with several Audit Committees of public listed companies on Bursa Malaysia in advising on Corporate Governance and carrying out their Internal Audit functions. A keen follower in the area of development of financial reporting standards in Malaysia, he will effectively address the key areas in the Financial Reporting Standards ("FRS") and Private Entity Reporting Standards ("PERS") in the context of the Malaysian financial reporting framework. He currently conducts intensive training for his firms' staff and other interested parties and assists his clients in the preparation of their financial statements in accordance with the FRS's and PERS's.
