K«At this meeting the all of the roll dislosed the presene or absene of the following named diretors, viz: Present: Absent: W. R. Bennett E. E. Bewley C. A, Hikman W. S. Cooke W. K. Stripling At this meeting Diretor R. Bennett presided in his apaity as -resident; and Diretor '. Stripling ated in his apaity as Seretary. Thereupon, the following proeedings were had and done, viz; 1. President Bennett stated that he had alled the meeting for the purpose of fixing the tax levy in the Distrit to be olleted for the year Thereupon, Diretor S. Cooke did present, and did move the adoption of, a resolution in words, figures and symbols as follows, viz: 11 Be it ordered by the Board of Diretors, of Tarrant County V/ater Control "and Improvement Distrit Number One, that Paragraph "10th" of the Order of "this Board, as the same appears on Page 67 of Minute Book Number 6 of this "Distrit, as the same was entered on January 31st, A, D. 1928, do be vaated "and for naught held, and that in lieu thereof there do be entered an order "as follows: "There is hereby levied and there shall be assessed and olleted by this "Distrit for the year 1928 a tax of Eight (8) Cents on eah One Hundred "($100.00) Dollars of the assessed valuation of all taxable property loated "within this Distrit, as the same is now defined and bounded, whih valuation "for the urrent year is now estimated by the Tax Assessor of Tarrant County, "Texas, to be approximately One Hundred and Fifty Million ($150,000,000.00) "Dollars M The tax hereby imposed is levied for the following purposes, viz: "(a) First, and in any event, to pay the ost of assessing and olleting said "tax: "(b) In the event this Distrit does not, prior to Marh 1st, 1929, make atual "sale of some part of its final or Constrution Bonds and does not, out of the "proeeds thereof, pay off and disharge the total amount whih is or may be "due and owing by the Distrit under the obligation reated by the Preliminary

2 "Notes, or Bonds, outstanding as of llaroh 1st, 1929, then and in that event "the tax hereby levied, or so muh thereof as may be required, shall be "applied to the reation of an interest and sinking fund suffiient to pay "off and disharge, on or before llaroh 1, A, D. 1929, all said Preliminary "Notes or Bonds of this Distrit v/hih may be then outstanding as obligations "of this Distrit: "() If it be, hov/ever, that this Distrit does on or before Marh 1st, "1929, make atual sale of its final or Constrution Bonds, and does out of "the proeeds of suh bonds atually pay off and disharge the sum v/hih may "be then due and owing upon the Preliminary ITotes or Bonds of the Distrit, "as is provided by law, then, and in that event, the tax hereby levied shall "be applied to the reation of an interest fund suffiient to pay off and "disharge the obligations of the Distrit whih may mature during the year "1929 by reason of the ontemplated issuane and sale of final bonds. " The tax levy by this order proposed is by this Board of Diretors "deemed suffiient to pay the ost of levying and olleting the tax hereby "levied; and to pay off and disharge all prinipal and, or, interest v/hioh "may beome due and owing by the Distrit during the year 1929, either by "reason of the obligation v/hih may exist under said Preliminary Bonds or "under final bonds whih may be issued as of any date prior to Marh 1st, "A. D " The tax levy hereby made shall remain in full fore and effet until "the Bonds herein designated are fully satisfied, or until a new levy may "be made under the provisions of Setion 91 of Chapter 25 of the Ats of the "39th Legislature of Texas. " Further be it ordered that the Tax Assessor of Tarrant County, Texas, "do be instruted to enter the Levy hereby established upon the tax rolls of "Tarrant County, Texas, as against all property subjet to tax by this "Distrit. Further be it ordered that the tax olletor of Tarrant County, "Texas, do be requested to ollet said tax upon the basis hereby established. " Further be it ordered that the Tax Colletor of Tarrant County, Texas, "do be required to give a good and suffiient Surety Company Bond, onditioned "for the faithful performane of his duties, payable to this Distrit, the "sum of Twenty-Five Thousand ($ ) Dollars, upon whih "Bond this Distrit shall pay the premium. " Further be it ordered that there do be furnished to the Tax Assessor "and to the Tax Colletor of Tarrant County, Texas, eah, a ertifiate of "this levy in aordane with the provisions of Setion 33 of Chapter 25 of "the Ats of the 39th Legislature of Texas; further that they and eah of "them do be instruted to file suh ertifiate in their respetive offies. "It is further ordered, a ertified opy of said ertifiates do be delivered to said named offiers instauter, and Ed B. Cheatham is hereby designated "to make servie of said ertifiates upon said named offiers. Proof of the "exeution of this order shall be by having said Tax Assessor and said Tax "Colletor, eah to reeipt for the ertifiate to be delivered to him here- "under. A true opy of said ertifiates bearing the reeipts of said "offiers shall be attahed to these Minutes as "Exhibit 'A'", and be made "part hereof.

3 The motion to adopt this resolution and make the same the order of this Board was seonded by Diretor E. E. Bewley* Upon a vote being taken, all the Diretors present voted for the motion and no Diretor voted against the motion. The motion was delared arried by a lawful majority and it is so ordered. 4. Upon the adoption of this resolution and promulgation of this order the meeting was delared adjourned. As Seretary APPROVED: As President
