Our new, remodelled seminar on IFRS and other important accounting and reporting issues is the ideal way to continue your professional education! We will open the financial reporting update with an overview of recent developments in IFRS, including a look at the IASB s agenda. In the current economic environment we are seeing increased use of supplier financing by our clients, particularly in the retail sector. For this reason supplier financing will be one of the topics covered in the financial instruments hot topics session. After the break we will have a brush up session on equity accounting. Finally, in our statutory update session we will look at topics including the new reporting requirements for derivative financial instruments, and you will also get an update on certain tax aspects related to the new accounting law. 5 What s new? Stay Smart Financial Reporting Updates: what s new? Firstly, we have redesigned the content and the way it s delivered. In our new event app* you will find the presentations, a number of polls linked to the content, the latest publications, and a peer community which you are encouraged to use to post your questions so they can be answered not just by the speakers, but by other PwC experts behind the scenes. Secondly, all participants will receive a copy of our most recent comprehensive IFRS Manual of Accounting, which the speakers will refer to during the seminar. Besides IFRS-related topics, there will be a separate session with updates on other areas relevant to the challenges of working as a finance professional in Switzerland. Finally, you can opt to do a multiple choice test after the seminar to give you the chance to recap and embed what you have learned with the chance to win an ipad! As we will be adding value in terms of your further education, we will be charging a small fee for attending. And there is even more value added. Before the morning events, we will serve you a wholesome breakfast to energise you for an intensive time of training.
