8 Real cases Estrellas Amarelas. Multilingual nursery Raquel emigrated to Switzerland and when she came back to Vilagarcía de Arousa, she had no job and needed to contribute to her family s expenses. When she noticed there was a lack of nurseries in her town, she decided to set up a multilingual nursery there, ESTRELLAS AMARELAS. With advice from the Chamber of Commerce, her lack of guarantees and bonds led Raquel to consider MicroBank s loans as the best option to make her idea a reality. We are pleased to say that we have gone from two to six teachers on the team in just two years. 9 Real cases Los Alpes Suizos. Café and churrería (traditional fritters) This man certainly does not lack experience. He has worked in the catering business from the young age of 15, first in his parents establishment and later in one of Zaragoza s most emblematic businesses, which years later would end up closing down. However, when he was offered the chance to manage his own café, he did not let it slip away. He needed financing to pay for taking over the LOS ALPES SUIZOS café and found the right solution in MicroBank, which made it possible for him to achieve his project. Working for myself has given me peace of mind. José Miguel García 21,800 30,000 2 Amount of the microcredit (in euros) Total investment (in euros) Number of employees 9
