B FUND DESCRIPTION The VanEck Vectors Emerging Markets High Yield Bond ETF tracks an index that measures the performance of sub-investment-grade corporate debt from emerging markets. FACTSET ANALYTICS INSIGHT holds dollar-denominated high-yield debt issued in the US or Europe by corporations located in or serving emerging market economies. The fund holds roughly 350 bonds issued by firms from countries ranging from Brazil to the Philippines, and largely ignores bonds with more than 10 years in maturity. This makes for a portfolio with less interest-rate risk and a lower yield than longer-dated portfolios. The fund trades decently, but spreads tend to be significant. Larger traders may face obstacles in execution of block trades, however, as underlying liquidity is weak. charges an attractive fee, but it tends to lag its index by significantly more, meaning that investors likely face higher holdings costs.
