Participation: A) How many GSAS participants are expected? 250 (last year the event was attended by 200 GSAS students and our GSAS membership has increased by 25%) B) How many others are expected? 25 (last year we only had ~5 non GSAS students but they found the panel really useful and lately we have more non-gsas students coming to our events) 6. Describe the event briefly: Our Disney career panel is the most popular event we host for the student community. We bring experts from different aspects of Disney animation artists, production, scriptwriters, actors, directors to discuss how to break into a career at Disney. This year, we are further increasing the scope of our event by collaborating with the Harvard Film Center DGSO (HFC) and Harvard Big Data Association (HBDA) in addition to our usual collaboration with OCS to bring together a more diverse panel for the audience. In the past, our participants have reported a high level of satisfaction with the event (see attached a few responses to the survey we sent out last year after the event). In particular, note the 5 highlighted student feedbacks which suggest that participants found this event to be highly insightful in planning for their future career as well as a way to meet like-minded students. Our audience also gave us suggestions to improve the event in particular, a few students suggested getting some more people from theatre background and to include someone who can talk about how data science is used at Disney and similar companies. We have tried to incorporate these suggestions and collaborated with HBDA and HFC to further improve this popular event. Other common complaints included not having enough publicity for the event and hence this year we are going to publicize the event heavily using all the channels indicated below. The GSC funds will be used for food and drinks for the panelists and attendees along with decorations, plates, napkins, etc. We will have pizzas from Otto s and snacks bought from market basket to help reduce costs. If our expected attendance is correct we are spending less than $4 per person. Our other sources of funding are listed on page five.

Please be as specific as possible. The GSC maintains records on how much groups spend or have already been reimbursed.
