The City may, at its discretion, apply a late payment fee to outstanding amounts due the City that remain unpaid thirty days after the due date. The late payment fee will be 10% of the amount owed, but no less than $ Fees may be increased each year by the CPI, appropriately rounded. Prices in the San Francisco area, as measured by the Consumer Price Index for all Urban Consumers (CPI-U), decreased 0.6 percent from April 2017 to April Per Government Code 66017, Any action adopting a fee or charge, or increasing a fee or charge adopted, upon a development project, as defined in Section 66000, which applies to filing, accepting, reviewing, approving, or issuing of an application, permit or entitlement to use shall be enacted in accordance with the notice and public hearing procedures specified in Section or and shall become effective no sooner than 60 days following the final action on the adoption of the fee or charge or increase in the fee or charge. All other fees shall become effective on the date specified within the Resolution adopted by City Council.
