4 1. The market structure for all member countries and the composition of the post-trade model elements and its relation with the securities exchange. 2. The investment products available in each country, analysis of the trading data and specific settlement requirements for those instruments. 3. The rules and regulations set by the authorities to render those products available. 4. The tools made available by regulatory authorities to have a solid risk management framework and the role that the authority plays to minimize systemic risk. 5. The importance of adhering to the best practices and international standards set by international bodies such as IOSCO, FTSE and MSCI, and the role of authorities reaching such standards and the major obstacles faced during this process. 6. The level of cooperation between regulatory authorities and market participants and mechanism used to achieve the authority s goals through market participants. In line with the COMCEC s main objectives for producing, disseminating knowledge and sharing best-practices among the Member States, CMA, Kuwait has conducted the survey and drafted the Survey Report.
