Regional markets traded on a mixed note on the back of potential slowing demand for electronic products following Apple s downward revision for its 4Q18 revenue. In North Asia, the Taiwan and Japan markets registered weekly losses of 3.5% and 1.5% respectively. After easing to a near 2-week low of 22,686 points on Thursday, the Dow rebounded on news of better-than-expected U.S. non-farm jobs of 312k for December. The Dow rose by 1.6% to close at 23,433. Likewise, the Nasdaq was up 2.3% over the same period. However, the Ringgit eased by 1.6% against the Japanese Yen amid safe haven demand for the Yen.
