16 Streets, Sidewalks and Other Public Places Article III. Construction and Maintenance of Sidewalks and Driveways Division 1. Generally Section Permit required to construct sidewalk or driveway; permit fees In addtion to any fine that may be imposed by the municipal judge, there shall be assessed in all cases the following: No person shall undertake the construction or reconstruction of any sidewalk or driveway without having first obtained a permit to do so from the city engineer. The fee for a permit to construct or reconstruct a sidewalk or a driveway, where no grades are to be set and no engineering work is necessary, shall be the sum of two dollars ($2.00). Where it is necessary for grades to be set or for any engineering work to be done, the fee for such permit shall be ten dollars ($10.00). All fees shall be payable to the city. When a sidewalk or driveway is to be constructed in connection with the erection of a new or remodeled structure for which a building permit has been issued, no permit fee shall be charged unless engineering work by the city is required, in which case the regular ten-dollar permit fee shall apply. Division 2. Permit Section Same--Contents of application; fee Application for an excavation permit shall be made in writing to the city engineer. The application shall contain such information as the building official may require regardig the purpose, location and size of the proposed excavation and the approximate time when the work thereon will be commencced and completed. A separate permit shall be required for each excavation and a fee, of $20.00 shall be paid by the applicant to the city for each such permit issued.
17 Zoning Division 3. Records Fees Section Appeals to the board --To whom available; time limit and procedure. Appeals to the zoning board of adjustment on any matter over which the board is by this division specifically granted jurisdiction may be taken by any person aggrieved, or by any officer, department, board or bureau of the city affected by any decision of the administrative officer. Such appeal shall be taken within a reasonable time, as provided by the rules of the board, by filing with the officer from whom the appeal is taken and with the zoning board of adjustment a notice of appeal specifying the grounds thereof and a processing fee of $ has been paid. The officer from whom the appeal is taken shall forthwith transmit to the board all the papers constituting the record upon which the action appealed from is taken.
