20 An Affected System other than the ISO Controlled Grid that may be affected by the proposed interconnection, including the Participating TO s electric system that is not part of the ISO Controlled Grid. An Affected System is identified by an IC s project location/interconnection. ISO will invite Affected Systems to Interconnection Customer meetings, including Results and Scoping meetings The IC and Affected Systems are required under GIDAP to cooperate with the ISO in all matters related to the Affected Systems conduct of studies and the determination of modifications, if any, to its Affected Systems App DD

21 If an agreement is needed, the agreement must specify the terms governing payments to be made by the Interconnection Customer to the Affected System. Agreements will not always be needed. IC and Affected System cooperation includes signing separate study agreements and paying for necessary studies The IC will not be permitted to synchronize its Generating Facility with the CAISO controlled grid until any reliability impairments caused by the project have been mitigated by the interconnection customer. 22 IC may withdraw its IR at any time by written notice or . Notice must be provided to ISO. The ISO shall provide written notice to the Interconnection Customer within five (5) BDs of the deemed withdrawal and an explanation of the reasons for such deemed withdrawal. The Withdrawal results in the removal of the IR from the Interconnection Study Cycle App DD

23 Effect on the study deposit On or before 30 CD days following Scoping Meeting: 100% of unused portion of study deposit More than 30 days following the Scoping Meeting but on or before 30 days following the phase I results meeting: Difference between study deposit and greater of: Costs incurred, or One-half the original study deposit up to a maximum of $100,000 ($50,000 for projects 20 MW or less) 31 days or more following the phase I results meeting No refund App DD

24 If the Interconnection Customer does not withdraw, or is not deemed withdrawn, and proceeds to sign a GIA, then there is no forfeiture of an unused study deposit balance. For any amounts that exceed the study deposit the IC will be invoiced. The Site Exclusivity Deposit is refundable when site exclusivity is met or any time of withdrawal. App DD App DD
