1 Terms and Conditions Governing Popular Bookstores Vouchers Promotion for POSBkids Account ( Promotion ) Participation in the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. 1. The Promotion period shall last from 3 June 2013 to 30 August 2013, both dates inclusive ( Promotion Period ). 2. The Promotion is open to all DBS/POSB customers who apply online through the POSB webpage to open joint-alternate POSBkids Account ( Customer ) during the Promotion Period and the account must be successfully opened by 7 September The Customer who has successfully opened a joint-alternate POSBkids Account will receive S$20 Popular Bookstores Vouchers ( Gift ). 4. Customer ( Introducer ) will receive the Gift in the value of S$50 provided the Introducer refer two (2) other individuals who are DBS/POSB customers ( Referred Customers ) to apply POSBkids Account online through the webpage during the Promotion Period and their jointalternate POSBkids Accounts are successfully opened by 7 September Each Referred Customer will receive the Gift in the value of S$ In the event if one (1) Referred Customer has successfully opened the POSBkids Account, the Introducer and the Referred Customer will each receive the Gift in the value of S$20. 6.The Introducer consents to DBS/POSB disclosing his/her name to the Referred Customers introduced. The Referred Customers consent to DBS/POSB disclosing to the Introducer that they have successfully opened POSBkids Accounts with DBS/POSB. 7. If more than one Introducer successfully introduces the same prospective customer within the Promotional Period, the first referral form received by DBS/POSB via online with the prospective customer's name will be entitled to the Reward. 8. Each Customer/ Referred Customers is/are eligible to receive one (1) Gift regardless of the number of POSBkids Account applied online and opened. 9. To be eligible for the Gift, the new POSBkids Account must not be closed, frozen or suspended, and must in the opinion of the Bank be in good standing as at 30 September A redemption letter will be mailed to eligible customers through ordinary post by 30 September 2013 at their account mailing address in the Bank s records. 11. The Gift must be redeemed within 1 month ( the expiry date ) from the issuance date by DBS at any Popular Book Company (Pte) Ltd in Singapore ( Supplier ). Please note that redemption request will not be accepted after the expiry date. The Gift is not exchangeable, nontransferable, not redeemable for cash and not replaceable if lost or stolen. 12. The Customer acknowledges that his/her presentation of the redemption letter is a disclosure to the Supplier that he/she is a customer of DBS/POSB. 13. DBS makes no representation or warranty whatsoever as to the quality or merchantability or fitness for purpose of the Gift. DBS/POSB is not an agent of the Supplier and vice versa. 2 14. DBS/POSB may vary these Terms and Conditions without notice, or withdraw or terminate the Promotion at any time without any notice or liability to any party. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any brochures, marketing or promotional materials relating to the Promotion, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail. 15. Notwithstanding anything herein, DBS has the absolute discretion in determining a person s eligibility in participating in the Promotion. 16. DBS/POSB s decision on all matters relating to or in connection with the Promotion is final and binding on all participants. DBS shall not be obliged to enter into any correspondence on any matter concerning the Promotion. 17. DBS assumes no responsibility for any loss or damage or expenses arising in connection with this Promotion, howsoever arising, including without limitation, from any late or non-notification, any error in computing, technical hardware or software breakdown, malfunctions or defects, failed, delayed or incorrect transactions, or lost or unavailable network connections, or any notice that is lost or misdirected, which may affect a Customer s eligibility in the Promotion. 18. These Terms and Conditions shall be read in conjunction with the Terms and Conditions Governing Accounts and the Terms and Conditions Governing Electronic Services. In the event of any inconsistency, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail insofar as they apply to the Promotion. The Terms and Conditions Governing Accounts and the Terms and Conditions Governing Electronic Services are available on DBS website at These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, and all Applicants irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts. 20. A person who is not a party to these terms may not enforce any of them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Chapter 53B) and notwithstanding any terms herein, the consent of any third party is not required for any variation of the terms of the Promotion (including any release or compromise of any liability) or termination of the Promotion. Singapore dollar deposits of non-bank depositors and monies and deposits denominated in Singapore dollars under the Supplementary Retirement Scheme are insured by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation, for up to S$50,000 in aggregate per depositor per Scheme member by law. 3 TERMS AND CONDITIONS GOVERNING POSBKIDS ACCOUNTS PROMOTION ( Promotion ) These terms and conditions govern the Promotion. Participation in the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. 1. The Promotion is open to all customers of DBS Bank Ltd ( DBS Bank ). 2. The promotion period is from 3 June 2013 to 30 August 2013 ( Promotion period ), both dates inclusive. 3. To be eligible for the Promotion: i. The customer must open a new POSBkids Account ( Customer ) and the POSBkids Account ( Account ) must remain be opened for a minimum period of 6 months from the date of account opening; or ii. The Customer must make a single minimum deposit of S$200 into an existing POSBkids Account. 4. The eligible Customers will receive a Smiley plush toy worth S$15.00 ( the Gift ). 5. Each eligible Customer may only receive one (1) Gift, regardless of number of accounts opened by the Customer (whether in single or joint names). 6. DBS Bank is entitled to deduct an amount equivalent to the value of the Gift, which you accept and agree shall be S$15.00, from any of your DBS/POSB account if you close your Account within 6 months from the date of account opening. 7. The Gift is non-redeemable for cash, non-transferable, non-assignable and non-exchangeable. The Gift is non-replaceable if lost, stolen or damaged. 8. DBS Bank reserves the right to vary any of the terms and conditions herein, and to suspend or terminate the Promotion at any time without notice or liability to the Customers. 9. DBS Bank may at their sole discretion at any time and without prior notice substitute or replace the Gift with any other gift of equal or higher value, such value to be determined by DBS Bank at their sole discretion. 10. DBS Bank is not an agent of the Suppliers of the Gift and vice versa. DBS Bank makes no representation or warranty whatsoever as to the quality or fitness for purpose or any other implied terms or conditions with respect to the Gift. DBS Bank are not liable for any injury, loss or damage whatsoever, whether direct or indirect, arising from or in connection with the Gift. The recipient and/or other person(s) who benefit from using the Gift accept and enjoy the product at their own risk. 11. These terms and conditions are to be read in conjunction with DBS Terms and Conditions Governing Accounts. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any brochures, marketing or promotional materials relating to the Promotion, these terms and conditions shall prevail. 4 TERMS AND CONDITIONS GOVERNING POSBKIDS ACCOUNTS & KIDS CARE INSURANCE POLICY PROMOTION ( Promotion ) These terms and conditions govern the Promotion. Participation in the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. 1. The Promotion is jointly organised by DBS Bank Ltd ( DBS ) and MSIG Insurance (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. ( MSIG ) (collectively, the Organisers ). Kids Care Insurance Policy is underwritten by MSIG and distributed by DBS. 2. The Promotion is open to all customers of DBS Bank Ltd ( DBS Bank ). 3. The promotion period is from 3 June 2013 to 30 August 2013 ( Promotion period ), both dates inclusive. 4. To be eligible for the Promotion: i. The customer must open a new POSBkids Account ( Customer ) and the POSBkids Account ( Account ) must remain be opened for a minimum period of 6 months from the date of account opening; or ii. The Customer must make a single minimum deposit of S$200 into an existing POSBkids Account; And iii. A first-time Kids Care Insurance Policy Application, together with the requisite premium payment, must be submitted and received by the Bank at any DBS / POSB branch by 31 August The Promotion is not applicable to Kids Care Value Plan or renewal policies with MSIG. 5. Each Kids Care Insurance Policy Application is subject to MSIG s terms and conditions relating to eligibility and MSIG s acceptance of the application for Kids Care Insurance Policy. 6. The eligible Customers will receive a Smiley plush toy worth S$15.00, a Pen-Set worth S$6.90 and a Smiley cardholder with lanyard worth S$7.00 ( the Gifts ). 7. Each eligible Customer may only receive one (1) set of the Gifts, regardless of number of accounts opened by the Customer (whether in single or joint names). 8. You agree that you accept the Gifts subject to such terms and conditions that the Organisers may impose from time to time. The Smiley plush toy will be given to you at the point when you open the new POSBkids Account or make the deposit into an existing POSBkids Account. The Pen-Set and Cardholder will be sent by ordinary post by MSIG, together with the Kids Care Insurance Policy document, when you purchase Kids Care Insurance Policy (Classic Plan). 9. DBS Bank is entitled to deduct an amount equivalent to the value of the Smiley plush toy, which you accept and agree shall be S$15.00, from any of your DBS/POSB account if you close your Account within 6 months from the date of account opening. 10. MSIG is entitled to deduct an amount equivalent to the value of the Pen-Set and Cardholder, which you accept and agree shall be S$13.90, from the applicable premium to be refunded to you if you cancel your Kids Care Insurance Policy within 60 days from the policy inception date of the Kids Care Insurance Policy. 11. The Gifts are not transferable and is not exchangeable for cash, credit or any other item in part or in whole. Promotions are not valid with other on-going promotions, discounts, offers, Gifts, purchase-withpurchase items and other privileges are limited to one per customer and on a while-stocks-last basis, unless otherwise stated. The Gift is non-replaceable if lost, stolen or damaged. The Organisers are not obliged to replace any Gifts if they are lost, stolen or damaged. 12. Staff of the Organisers are not eligible to participate in the Promotion.

5 13. DBS Bank reserves the right to vary any of the terms and conditions herein, and to suspend or terminate the Promotion at any time without notice or liability to the Customers. 14.
