6 CEP The mission of the Claimant Employment Program (CEP) was to: -Promote job training for UI Claimants Increase employment potential Decrease probability of future unemployment -Provide classroom/on-the-job Training To meet business demands for higher skilled workers -Reduce the duration of UI claim filing -Ensure continued UI eligibility
7 CEP Mission Accomplished! Reduced the UI duration by 2.1 weeks! Trust Fund Savings: $2.39 for every dollar spent Improved skill level of CEP claimants
8 Worker Profiling & Reemployment Services (WPRS) Nevada s Take Automated Selection Statistical Model Group Orientation UI Eligibility Review Proof of Identification UI/Dislocated Workers/WIA/ES Collaboration
9 Reemployment Service RES/REA Grants Nevada participates in both the RES and REA initiatives: Used funds to hire additional JobConnect Staff: RES/REA staff provide reemployment services to UI claimants Uses call in system to select UI claimants to receive reemployment services.
10 Nevada s Process of Reconnecting Job Seeker Record is Created at UI Claim Filing (Dual Enrollment), Created a Call In selection system, Cross Trained RES/UI staff, Developed standardized UI policy and procedures for ES/UI staff to follow, Utilize ID Card Readers to verify UI Claimant identification, Measure and track UI Claimant Outcomes.
