6 Legacy Estate Maximizer Last Survivor/Second to Die Whole Life Product Also Single Premium Payment Option ONE POLICY, TWO LIVES, LOWER PREMIUMS, HIGHER DEATH BENEFITS! Wealth transfers are you taking advantages of all the opportunities available? Last Survivor/Second-to-Die Insurance Policies A Last Survivor/Second-to-Die insurance policy insures two lives usually a husband and wife or two individuals with insurable interest (mother and daughter, siblings, two business partners, etc.). The Legacy Estate Maximizer is distinctive whereby it provides coverage for two (2) lives and is payable to the designated beneficiaries only upon the second insured s death. Through policy loans, this plan allows access to cash values for emergency funds during the lifetime of the insured(s).* Advantages of the Last Survivor/Second-to-Die Estate Tax Planning: Couples with large estates may have an estate tax problem. The death of the first spouse passes an unlimited marital deduction to the surviving spouse. Upon the second spouse s death, the entire estate is subject to various forms of taxation (income tax, estate tax, inheritance tax, etc.). Utilizing the Last Survivor/ Second-to-Die provides heirs with federal income-tax free funds and avoids probate fees when the estate taxes are due. Uninsurable Risk: Individuals with poor health may not qualify for traditional life insurance; taking advantage of the Last Survivor/Second-to-Die insuring two (2) lives allows the life insurance company to issue coverage based on the good health of the other individual. 6 Affordability: Last Survivor/Second-to-Die is significantly cheaper than traditional single-life policies. In the case of Last Survivor/Second-to-Die the premium is based upon the joint life expectancy of two (2) lives, the insurance company s risk of paying the policy earlier than expected is lower when the risk is spread over two individuals rather than one.
